According to scans bub is still tiny. My middy said she doesnt think over 3kg. Apparently im the poster child now for gd. My middy also said out of interest to anyone in the month of november they have only delivered 2 babies under 4kg! Its not a small hospital either they have 5000 births a year. I wonder how many of these ladies have gd?

How big do you feel bub is?

Wow! Only two under 4kg!! Diet has a lot to do with bubs size when you have gd, I wonder if that's why they are lowering the levels. That would include more people in the gd diagnosis, and make women easy healthier during pregnancy (not saying they need to).

I know for me I ate crap with both my kids (less so with the second)and they were big. So I'm wondering whether a diagnosis of gd, and a healthier diet would have meant smaller babies for me. I'm interested to see what size this one is. If she is big it could be due to gd, or it could be that I just make big babies.

These are my thoughts too. I ate crap with my daughter I didnt have gd with her. With ds I was a little better mainly cos I ate what dd did as I was sahm no access to junk like I did at work. But then once diagnosed with him at 26 weeks it all changed and I becsme super obsessed. Both dd and ds were considered above average. Dd was born at 41 weeks though so that explains her size. Ds was born at 38 weeks and his size was put down to gd. I feel im carrying really small with this one. Ive also hardly put on any weight compared to ds. So im guessing 2.8kg? But who knows. My bf was huge well over 100kg at birth at her bub was 2.8kg she put on over 40kg with no gd. My other bf put on 11kg and her bub was 4.2kg and she never even wore maternity clothes or had gd. So size of mum and weight gain has no bearing imo.

But I dont why they've lowered the bsl levels. But healthy bubs is very important so its a good thing. But I think in general kids are getting bigger. My neices all tweenies are all bigger than me already. Granted im only 165cm tall but they are all a ladies 12 -14 as well. Im a standard 10. They are not unhealthy just big boned and solid.

Im definitely looking forward to an announcement

In other news, my insulin was bumped up by a huge amount today. From 16-10-0-35 to 20/22-10-0-45!
Also have an induction booked. I'm not sure how I feel about it yet though.
