Hi, I'm 9 weeks pregnant and was diagnosed with gestational diabetes after my first pregnancy bloods were ordered by the Endo. I went to see the Endocrinologist when I first found out I was pregnant as I'm also hoping to avoid a repeat of the Pre-eclampsia that I had in my first pregnancy.

I'm taking metformin and 14 units of insulin daily.

I just have to tell someone...I am so sick and tired of wholegrains, already!!! Only 31 weeks to go, lol!

Anyone got any tips for low GI snacks that do not involve wholegrains?

I don't think it would have done harm. I'm eating healthy as I can and my levels are still all over :/ I feel like I should just eat whatever. 15wks of being good, I think you deserve a night off.

Do you have an end date yet?

Kinda not later than 38 + 5 weeks. I have another appointment with them tomorrow for actual date. But no more than 10 days to go. Woo hoo. Had my 36 week scan bubs is 2.6kg so about average for gestation. So they are happy with that thinking she will be just under 3kg at delivery. Another reason why I allowed a little blow out.
