    Default Early rising

    How do u keep ur child in bed longer in the mornings? Dd is up at 5 and this is just not on. She is having a day sleep once or twice a week for 1-2hrs it makes no difference when she has this sleep or not. Bed time has always been a strict 7pm she mucks around until 9-10pm.
    i dont think she is getting enough sleep. She is very difficult during the day.
    have done reward systems but their novelty has worn off. She doesn't care for bribes anymore either. She screams and cries when we put her back to bed. Dh has to go in her bed and try to keep her there.
    we are all very tired from these long days.
    Anyone offer advice?

    How old is she? Have you tried a grow clock?

    3. Yes we have a glow clock and she doesn't take any notice of it

    Hmm, to be honest im not sure. My DS1 has always been an early riser and at the age we managed to stretch it out to 6am by putting foil on his windows to block out every spec of light... but hes now 5 and is up at 4:45am every single day. So I have no idea how to fix it long term.

    She's has block out currains in her room from birth. 3 layers of curtains it's pitch black in there! She has been getting up at this silly time the last few mths. Before them she was great and would wake from 8am

    DS is always up at 5 too, I find it changes with the season. Winter 7am wakeups, summer/spring/autumn 5am -.-

    I think it is pretty normal in Summer, it gets light earlier and is warmer.
