Shell, try not to worry too much, sounds like it might be a sticky one!

Babygirl, it truly doesn't matter how many eggs you get, it's the quality. I know it can be so hard when you read how many eggs other ladies get, trust me I know! But you just need the one for transfer and sticking!

Sleepy dude, good luck for transfer tmw. What progesterone support is your dw on?

Dragonfly, westmead is not for profit, that's why they are so much cheaper. Everything is included, but I pay extra for crinone and of course paid for the saizen. You only see your FS before you start your cycle to work out the plan and what drugs you're going to be on, then everything is done by the nurses at the clinic, bt's, scans, teaching you how to use the needles etc. when you have epu and et you just get the FS who is rostered on that day. Epu is sedation not general and weirdly is done at the dental clinic at the public hospital! But they have had quite a bit of success (going by the thread I'm on and that's only a few of us!). I think there is a similar clinic in Melbourne and Brisbane. There is a thread on here somewhere about the costs of different clinics.

So a little funny about how ditzy I am today - I came home and its pregnyl night, so I get everything out. Not sure if anyone else has done it before on here, but you have a vial of liquid and a vial of powder. You have to break the top off the vials (thanks DH) and draw up the liquid into the syringe, then put the liquid in the vial of powder, mix it up, draw it back up into the syringe, change the needle to the injecting one and then inject. Sounds easy right? Well the caps on the needles are quite tight, so I loosen them up and just have them resting in the cap before we start. DH was talking to me as I was loosening the cap, I jerk it out and my hand bounces the needle back into the opposite thumb, all the way from the flesh to the nail! I could not believe it, this is my fourth cycle and I've never done that!

Combine it with forgetting if I had closed the garage door as I left for work yesterday - we had to call the neighbour to ask her to go check! I had, but I was a little worried for a while, it is Sydney after all!

Lol @Chiefsgirl! I did 17 days of the stims and 10 days of that was cerotide (same mixing vials as pregnyl) as well made it all the way to day 17 before going through a blood vessel withy very last one and bled everywhere and bruised like crazy! Wouldnt have been so bad if I wasn't already at work when I did this and to walk around all day blood all over my clothes

Chiefsgirl all I got to say is OUCH!!! That has got to hurt!! I never had to do that sort of injection. But every time I did the gonal f ones I was so paranoid I would drop it before I started and it would end up in my thigh. Crazy I know. Still makes me sweat when I think about it. Ha ha..

So.. I know you already think I'm kinda gross. But I'm so confident that the blood I saw this morning was the pimple on my who ha that burst. I had a shower before and it's deflated compared to last nights shower. (I'm not dirty, sometimes this pimple pops up) (it's also not herpes) reading this it does sound like I'm dirty haha.. Eww.. Even dh doesn't want to hear bout it.

@Chiefsgirl thank you. It's hard but I promised myself not to get my hopes up, just go with the flow and stay positive... Now I'm just trying to stay focused on ET hopefully early next week. Ouch! hope your ok hun, poor thumb (I'm sorry but I shouldn't have had a lil giggle, but every time I was taking my injections that was one of my fears... Jabbing in the wrong spot)

@shell'80 not dirty at all hun and at least you know where the bleeding was from

Yeah, I had to use pregnyl like that for my last cycle. I can't remember why now but I had to do it in the disabled toilets at work. My hands were shaking and I snapped the vial off the wrong way and cut myself. I just felt quite desperate injecting myself in a dirty loo bleeding everywhere.
Luckily this time they gave me a pen to use.

Thanks dragonfly, I'm actually still hopeful while I see the urine tests get darker as this is exactly what happened in my last cycle but I'm still so worried. How I can bleed so much and not lose the emby is beyond me.

My last day of crinone tomorrow. Thank goodness.

Thank you for all being so welcoming!

I hear you on the Pregnyl. I was so nervous breaking the glass vials and I was scared I'd spill it, and I had to mix it at 12:30am (midnight) so I was quite sleepy. But obviously it worked.

A few of you have mentioned Crinone - I have to start it tomorrow night. What don't you like about it? Does it have yucky side effects?

Also random funny story - at my egg pick up today the nurse goes "oh, you took Menopur! Is that the one that used to be made from the urine of menopausal nuns?". I googled it...yes. Yes it did. Unfortunately I googled it before starting on it and read the bit about the urine. No idea why it had to come from nuns though!
