Megs, 14 thats awesome, for fertilisation today.

Sleepydude, for day 3 update, 4 out of 5 is a really good rate.

Congrats Mellow, I'm hoping for a sibling for my little boy too

And good luck Babygirl for your EPU today. May your eggs be very mature (like me )

I had to go to a work function last night that involved drinking, eating and socialising and I was not in the mood to say the least, I just kept ducking to the loo to see if the bleeding had stopped (it hadn't and with the crinone....... well, I'll stop there).
I was nursing a light beer all night in the hope of throwing off my workmates. Didn't work though as my boss asked me outright if I was going to have another kid, so I just said "Yeah maybe one day" I'm 41 dude, I'm not waiting around!

So I've done 2 tests and it's not 6am yet. My first test looked lighter than the one I did 2 days ago so I panicked and did another one as I'd read somewhere that second morning urine can give better results than the first. And it worked, the line is darker but I'm still very worried that this is a chemical. I spoke to the nurses yesterday and they have told me to wait until monday for the blood test. *bangs head on desk* I knew they were going to say that.

    good luck everyone

Sorry to be a busy body but if you don't mind me asking what their fees were like. After so many cycles I'm really trying to shop around even if it means a flight to another city. I'm so happy it worked first go for you

Megs - great news hun, look forward to hearing how fert goes x

babygirl - GL today huni thinking of you!! Go little eggies!!!!!

Bongley - you poor thing, I was reading your comments about being at the party and feeling your pain!! Sorry you couldn't get the BT moved to tomorrow darls, try and keep busy over the weekend and hang in there.

AFM - I am just plodding along only 4 day since the ET so am just trying to keep busy for 6 more days until BT! I haven't had the urge to POAS yet, mainly because at this point it would be useless being too early. I think once I hit next week it will be harder to resist!

@Dragonfly it works out to be no more than $2000 max out of pocket expenses for a whole cycle from start to finish and recurring months can be as little as $500

This probably doesn't help you Dragonfly as you are in Brisbane (I think?) but for anyone who might be interested, RPA is $1538 per stimulated cycle. I went through Genea (formerly Sydney IVF) and ran out of cash three cycles in and switched to RPA who use the Genea doctors and lab anyway. They only do long regulations I think. I don't know how much an FET would be though. Never got to do one.

Dragonfly, I'm at westmead in Sydney, the first cycle is about 1400 out of pocket (if you do the medicare claim back and it's your first cycle in the calendar year), then it's just 290 out of pocket for each subsequent cycle in the same calendar year. You have to pay 4500odd up front then you get the itemised receipts at et and claim back from Medicare.

    Congrats on those numbers mellow!

Megsarama congrats on your hall, do you know how many fertilised yet?

Sleepy dude, fx for a great fertilisation rate for you both

Had pt at 5am this morning, just a light workout and I feel so much better for it. Tried to get to yoga yesterday but ended up working late. Performance review in half an hour - stress!

Hi ladies, can I join this group?

I'm doing my first IVF round this month after 7 failed cycles of clomid and one of Gonal F.

Just had my egg pick up procedure and they got 14 eggs. Can't wait to hear from my nurse tomorrow!

Welcome Lemonpancakes, you will find the girls here so much support, congrats on the great egg numbers. I had 14 retrieved yesterday.
    Babygirl, how did you go???????

    Rant time (sorry in advance)
After reading you girls discuss pricing differences I must say that I dislike Melbourne IVF even more! I am $3,800 out of pocket for a stim, that didn't include my progesterone support ($80), different trigger ($90) and then cause I got OHSS last time and had to freeze they have told me this time there is no discount for a subsequent cycle in the same year because they didn't count my last stim as a full cycle. So its $3,800 again and next years first one will also be $3,800. Out of pocket for a FET is $1500. So not only are their prices terrible I called to see fert rates and the nurse said "we cant give out that information, you will know at ET how many you have and if any are ok to freeze". That is bulldust! Last time I knew the next day, and day 3 and day 5 (but it was all so new and I don't remember how I found out). Every time I have dealings with Melbourne IVF I swear my blood pressure rises! I don't know what to do cause I really like my FS but HATE MIVF.

Whaaa!!?? Megs that is TERRIBLE that they won't tell you until transfer!! I'd be fuming too, holy cr&p. I've never heard of that before.

Well if it makes you feel any better I was paying 5K out of pocket at Genea. Westmead sounds like a bargain.

Hi lemonpancakes, I'm a newb to this thread too.
