@Misha, we must have posted at the same time this morning! a BFN is never easy. Take care of yourself.

@thefamilygal I know how you feel completely, I have never gotten any to freeze. For me it's an egg quality issue due to my age. Feel good about getting a blast though, that is really good. I got one for the first time ever this cycle and it's my fourth!

to the newbies, you'll find the ladies here full of info and provide lots of support.

@Omgshoes congrats on 10 eggs they all fertilise and grow well for you.

@lan0308 I just try and keep busy - all the cramps and symptoms you feel can also be the progesterone, so it'll do your head in analysing every twinge - good luck.

Emzy - how cool thanks for that hun!

lano308 - I don't have any advice on the 2WW (I am in my 2ww also and BT is the same day as yours!!), but so far I have just kept busy and surprisingly positive and calm and where possible doing "me" things (early morning walk, watcha movie, catchup with friends). As Chiefsgril said the cramps could be the progesterone, I am on Crinone and have had AF type cramps since using it. Trying not to worry though as I know it is a side effect. GL huni.

AFM - another question sorry ladies (full of them today!!)...does anyone know what a hatching 5 day blastocyst is? Is this different to a normal 5 day blasty or the same thing?

Ive only just been thinking about it and wondering...at our ET Monday they showed me a pic of the blasty before ET, and said it would be hatching within 2-3 hours of transfer. I didn't think much of it at the time, but is this good, bad or the normal? all new to me so I haev no idea... Cheers ladies.

Yeah I though the crinone could be trying to trick me but it's just so hard to not get my hopes up then I want to be realistic also so I don't get too upset. Thanks for the welcome Emzy5 and Chiefsgirl does anyone POAS? If so how early can you? AF is due Monday 25/11 so I'm sure time will tell, I think I need to go to download a good long book this arvo and read whilst not at work.

Rozzie:- Hey I think thats REALLY good when they are hatching! it means the blasty is all ready to get burrowing into the uterus ...... in my completely amateur Dr Google understanding of it all. Sounds like you have a good one there.

I found these two bits of info, one from a scientific site and the other from a forum thread. Seems to me its a great thing its hatching as its developing so well in the dish that potentially it should thrive in its mummy (you) Hope this helps.

    Blastocyst Hatching
At about day 5 the human blastocyst "hatches" out of the protective zona pellucida. This hatching allows increased growth, access to uterine nutrient secretions and blastocyst adhesion to the uterine lining. Associated with this hatching process are a series of physical contractions.

"I had a day 5 hatching blast transferred on my last IVF cycle. it resulted in my now 18mth old son. So for me i had better success with it. My FS actually said that they really like seeing them hatching before transfer as they give the best result"

Rozzie BT buddies but I live an hr from the clinic so probably won't get results to the next day unless I drive to the town with the clinic to have the same day haven't decided it depends whether AF comes on time or not as then I'll have an idea. AF doesn't arrive - that's another question should I assume that if I was to get AF it would come like regular cycle or delayed due to stims etc.?

11 eggs is awesome Sleepydude! Don't stress about the sperm, they can do wonders with ICSI!for great fertilization rate...I'll add you and your DW to the "waiting to transfer" on the roll call

Well done sleepy dude that is great!

Bongley & Emzy - wow thanks guys lets hope so!! Much appreciated. Had a giggle at the Dr Google comment haha

Ion0308 - yep buddies! I'm a 3 hr drive from out clinic but they courier the results that morning. Usually I hear just before 4 that arvo but if not will be the next morn. I dare say I'll be POAS that morning though, I'll be 10dp5dt that day.
