I've been trying for a year now, just started to use the temp charts lol!
Are you sure you have the right thermometer? Ive never seen it jump like that on an ovulation thermometer??

Are you using Fertility friend? If so you just click on a day in the calendar and then add it into where it says Temperature

BBT thermometers go to two decimal places. You need to enter in the temperature to two decimal places in ff, otherwise your temps will be all over the place. The thermal shift after o can start out as small as 0.02°, so you might not be able to detect it straight away if you have a slow rise and only take temps to one decimal place. i.e. your pre-o temp might be 36.96 & 1dpo might be 37.04 (0.08° difference), but these temps would be the same if only given to one decimal place (i.e. they would both be given as 37.0). Also, BBT thermometers are more sensitive than other thermometers & where you take your temperature makes a difference (e.g. you shouldn't take your armpit temperature - mouth or *ahem* vajayjay are more accurate)... Of course, sometimes temps do jump around a lot anyway (just check out some of my past charts) When you get your temps into ff, send us a link. I like looking at other charts.

    Funchu's Ovulation Charts

I took out my fake OPKs to adjust my chart so that O was CD21. We dtd cd18, cd19 & cd21, so fx enough swimmers were hanging around. It also now looks like my dip on 3 December (8dpo) could have been implantation (fx fx fx - very wishful thinking?). I'll wait until Thursday to test again (unless AF shows beforehand). Why has O started coming later again? Arrrgghhh... so frustrating. Next cycle I'll try bd every 2nd day from cd8 - cd16, then every day from cd17 - cd22, then cd24. That should cover us for o! Hopefully we won't need to try that though.
