I'm sorry to hear your doctor was not very understanding. Most of them aren't they don't get it how bad we want a child. Don't give up hope i'm 38 and DH and I started trying when I was 37 my doctor was not very helpful and really didnt want to give me a referral to FS as i have high blood pressure told me to fix that first. Anyway long story short I found another GP and asked for referal and to assess blood pressure issues he put me on BP medication that you can take during pregnancy & he gave me the referral to a fertility specialist.

Get a fertility specialist and a good one. You will need a referral from your GP but if they won't give it to you just find another one who will. Don't give up the journey is not easy but the reward at the end will be worth it.

BH is a great place to come and find info, vent, rant and get support all the lovely ladies in here are so helpful and have a wealth of knowledge on various topics. & Good Luck.
    Dear Twinkley,

Thank you so much for taking the time to write this message, and also a huge thank you to MrsTugs, Strega and SquishyO for your support too.

I really appreciate your advice, doctors certainly don't get it at times, and I also know they can be so black and white, when life isn't that at all. The body is capable of amazing things, and I really believe that it will happen for us. I fell pregnant -unplanned - the first time we had unprotected sex eighteen months ago (ended in a m/c), and because we were very new into the relationship, we used protection for the next year until we were ready to start a family. I fell pregnant immediately again, but ended in another m/c.

Since then we've both been on heaps of herbs and supplements to improve sperm and egg quality - yes am on Q10 Tinkley - and I didn't think it was unrealistic to think that I would fall pregnant again, seeing as I have fallen straight away on the two opportunities that I have had... But apparently doctors don't see that as a positive and want to look at their bits of paper that say it should be difficult for us...

I am getting married in December, so if I haven't fallen by the New Year I will book in to see my Ob who is also an FS - I was already referred to him because of the missed m/c and he is an FS as well, so he will be a good place to start.

Anyway, I know this is a positive thread and we are looking for lots of BFP's in December, so I'm sticking with my testing on the 4th, and will keep the faith that it is possible, while taking steps to get help if it is needed. Christmas Baby Dust to everyone!!!

Thanks so much my BH friends xxxx

@Leisylou - Yay for positivity. I think it's absolutely possible for you to fall pg again - this time with a sticky bub!!! My mum knows two ladies over 40 who had healthy natural pregnancies.

To add to Funchu's two ladies, I have a 44 year old lady in my work place who accidentally fell pregnant. Both her and bub are doing well and she is about 25 weeks along. Stay positive. It will happen.

Hi Tiffany I had a lap and other stuff (can't remember it all) done in July 2011 on CD8 and it didnt mess with my cycles at all. I didn't start back at CD1 after it. I fell pregnant on my second cycle after the lap after over 3 years ttc. I had endo removed but I'm pretty sure they say you are more fertile after a lap. Good luck.

Yeah I've had a few when younger but when you are 19 I wasn't thinking about this stuff much lol. I will o about the time I have the lap so eggy won't make it. Ill start trying after af comes after the lap. Wondering if that hcg was right and the op did slightly block my tubes and hopefully they can fix everything.
