I pay $60fn on gas and $90fn electricity. I have an automatic bpay setup. For all our bills actually, so that each fortnight my parenting payment goes straight to that account (goes in on a friday, bills come out on a monday) so we never touch it. Insurance is taken out monthly. Our main account is for petrol, groceries and silly spending (unnecessary crap lol)

I've also set up my banking to automatically come out of my account and pay bills. Usually when I get a bill I'm actually in credit that is until I got my elec and gas this quarter ($1700 WTH?).
I even have a savings account where I transfer $75 a week for rego, car service and insurance, another account where I transfer a set savings amount into then the left over is spending money. Works great for us!

I put away 1000 pfn roughly. That's for all bills excluding car loans and home loans and groceries.
