Not sure about another scan. I see my Obgyn next week so I guess I will see what she says. I'm happy to wait until 12 weeks or maybe another one would be nice???

Lashed - I had 7 week scan seen my GP to get a longer referral for new OB in hometown cause IVF OB was in different town and he's referral only lasted 3 months! My GP have me all the forms for antenatal bloods and NT bloods and scan (I was told I had to be 12 weeks before I could have it) which u have to book in for then have the bloods usually 3-5 days before hand I was told here. I seen my OB before that anyway and he have me another quick scan which was a Wednesday then the Monday I was 12 weeks and had my NT scan the OB rang me the next day with results. I'm booked to go again to see him on 11.2.14 for check up and I'll be 15 weeks then but he gives all ladies a scan quickly at every appointment which is good. Not sure what your OB is like though cause I know others are different. I will be having my next big scan between 18-20 weeks which my OB will give me the forms for next visit. I hope that helps I didn't really know what to do next either. I know some of the other ladies on here had the harmony test which they might be able to explain further we can't get that where I am I would've had to travel to Brisbane.

Lashed I am sorry to hear of your news but am glad you have one little fighter on board. I believe this is quite common with twin pregnancies in the early weeks.
My OB does a scan in her rooms every time I see her. I had 9 weeks, 10.5 weeks, then the harmony test as we were going to be away for the 12 week scans. I just saw her this week at 17 weeks then have the big 20 week scan which is done by referral to a specialist scan clinic before I see my OB again at 23 weeks. Mine likes to see you at least every 4 weeks to 28 weeks then fortnightly to 34 weeks, then weekly. But I guess all are different and will depend on what they charge etc.
good luck, I hope you are able to get a scan at your first appointment, you won't believe the change in those couple of weeks x

Hi everyone! I should change my name to MIA Mel!
I have been busy following everyone I'm just pretty slack at replying.
Just wanted to ask a question - this is my second baby (4th pregnancy) and I 15 weeks with a single bub. Is anyone else getting big fast?1391291884083.jpg

Lashed - bittersweet news... Wonderful that you have a nice strong healthy heartbeat in there! What did they say about what's next?

Mellow from what I've heard (& witnessed with friends) once 2nd bub comes along it's all nice and stretched out from #1 so bub 2 has lots of room to grow as it's all nice and comfy! I'm also 15 weeks with twins, 1st pregnancy and my belly isn't as prominent as yours but EVERYONE is different! I'm 5'10 and have a very long torso so babies can stretch up if needed! Here is a bump pic at 15wks3days (my Dog didn't want to miss out!!)

Default Student midwife seeking beautiful mums-to-be...

    Hiya,

Congratulations to all you beautifully pregnant women.
My name is Daph. I am the mother of 3 grown girls and 6 sleeping angels…

I'm in my third year of midwifery at the Charles Darwin University, NT. I have a Bachelor of Nursing, nursing for a long time, and I am now studying to gain my Bachelor of Midwifery. As part of my degree, I am required to 'follow through' the pregnancies of at least 20 women in order to gain the knowledge I will require when I've graduated to be the best midwife I can possibly be.

I am seeking women in the Darwin / Palmerston areas who are interested in having a student midwife follow them through on their pregnancy and birth journey. I would be honoured to have a special (IVF) pregnancy journey to follow...

The follow-through program offers you the opportunity to receive continuity of care throughout your pregnancy, while developing a trusting and supportive relationship with your student midwife. In turn, students have the privilege of following you through your journey, observing/ providing the care to you and your family during pregnancy, labour, birth and postnatal period. This allows me, the students, to expanding my knowledge of midwifery/ pregnancy, ultimately ensuring that I graduate as the best, most highly experienced midwife I can be.

As part of the collaboration, I attend some antenatal appointments, be present during the labour and birth of your baby, follow-up with postnatal visits after delivery and attend your 6 week GP visit.

Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any more questions!

Mellow73, did you see my bump pics? This will be my first bub but I have had 2 very early miscarriages previously. I have been huge since 12 weeks. It is nice having a bump but no one believes me when I tell them I due in July, here were my 14 and 16 week pics, I will be taking my 18 week this weekImageUploadedByThe Bub Hub1391312508.703952.jpgImageUploadedByThe Bub Hub1391312521.485333.jpg

Your bump looks great though, sign of a good healthy bub hopefully. Do you know what you're having yet?

Ladies awesome pics!! Bumps are certainly growing!!!!

I'm pregnant with my 2nd and haven't really changed much since my last photo I put up, some people still can't tell I'm pregnant and I am 14 weeks. But having said that I look about the same now at 14 weeks as I did with DS at 22 weeks. Everything has stretched from carrying before but everyone is different. I weighed myself yesterday and weigh exactly the same as I did when I found out we were pregnant.

Enjoy the bumps big or small ladies!! So amaxing what our bodies are capable of! I'll post a pic of mine soon.
