Hahahah hubby and I learnt that the hard way. I honestly thought the oldies especially my grandmother would've been proud but no she called me disgusting and said only animals do that. My heart honestly felt a sharp pain when she said that it really hurt considering her and I are as close as anything. I think I'll still do it. I shouldn't allow people to sway me. Hubby is all for it. His friend is a naturopath and tells him how good it is for both parents not sure what DH is suppose to get out of it. But then it's the same naturopath that use to drink his wife's breast milk. Hubby wouldn't drink mine he only tasted it hahahah.

    Hi ladies,

I'm a few topics behind but thought I'd catch up anyway...

It's amazing how many people have asked us if we will have more kids, my response - "lets get these 2 here safely then we will see!"

PND is nasty -- family friend of ours tried to take her own life and seriously injured herself. Physically she is ok now but mentally she still has a long way to go. So glad that we can talk about it and hopefully all stay "friends" to help if needed.

Have read about placenta encapsulation since it was posted on here, looks fascinating and I'm very keen to do it. I've asked my Natropath about it and she is going to look into it for me. That's why I love BH... Learn so much here. Thanks ladies.

I had a scan today 14wks5days (as I'm under cervical surveillance - precaution more than anything) so I have for nightly scans. All is going very well, cervix is behaving and measurements of bubs were all on track. Was amazing seeing our babies again - they are so incredibly active, I cannot wait until I can feel it! I think I saw "something" on one bub when they were taking measurements, I asked DH if he saw it too and he said "no and I don't want to know" but I've always said I'm sure there's a blue bub in there!

Has anyone started shopping yet? DH caved the other day and wanted to see stuff so we went to baby bunting! Didn't buy anything but started researching and picked a few things we liked.

    Hope everyone is staying cool.

    Xx

Great news on the scans JB! I bought about 20kg of clothes, shoes and toys from Africa, I couldn't resist with the exchange rate. I have started looking at prams, thinking the icandy peach which is a single size but can covert to a double later if we do go round two.
It is all a little overwhelming actually, clothes are one thing but the real stuff is a bit more tricky.

Yay for more scans! I can't wait for my next one, feels like forever since my 13wk one... And I'm only 15 + 1! Just under 5 weeks till the next... Countdown is on! Have been shopping up a storm lately - cot & mattress, change table, portacot, high chair, baby bath, mobile, angel care movement sensors & monitors & a baby carry sling thing !

    Hi girls,
Sorry I've been MIA we have had visitors for about 2 weeks, been very busy being on holiday and having a fantastic time with them!
We had our 12 (or more like 13+1!) weeks scan today and it all went really well! Baby was moving heaps, looks very human, can't believe the changes since our 8werks one. All risks are super low. We are thrilled!
My belly really has popped out this week. Will post photos when our visitors leave on the weekend and I have more time to myself.
We haven't bought anything yet. We have received a few little things from friends, and my mom has been busy knitting, but we haven't bought anything.
    Have a good evening everyone.

Also... Thank you ladies for sharing your pnd experiences. Definitely something to be aware of and this gives us newbies a chance to discuss it with our dh before the birth. We will be looking out for each other's in a few months.

JB - great to hear from you! Glad all is going well.

I have done a little bit of shopping but am waiting until after the 20 week scan to find out the sex. I went overboard with my first, bought anything and everything. I paid a fortune on an Angelcare movement / sounds monitor which I never used, when he woke I heard him so got up. And bought a video monitor which was more detrimental than anything as you stare at it ALL the time so took it out. The best money I spent was on an electric breast pump which I have kept, absolutely worth every cent!!!!!!

Hope everyone is doing well x

    Hi all,
Still keeping an eye on you all and wishing I was able to contribute. I made the mistake of signing up to a pregnancy app which sends me a text every wednesday telling me how I'm progressing. It's kind of depressing getting it every week (I can't work out how to unsubscribe) but I love seeing how you're all getting on. Hope I can join a later forum some time this year. All the best to all of you.
    Shawly
