Thanks for the welcome ladies! I also had a quick lurk on the general pregnancy forum & could not relate at all, I get a bit frustrated with people who don't understand that it's not easy for everybody! at least we have all been through the same thing.
Emski - that is crazy about child care. I am only just getting my head around booking an obs. We are in Bunbury wa so it's not such a big deal booking in early here.
Soready - I have weekly bts until 8wks, then off to the obs. We have been with a couple of different clinics & they all do things slightly different. I remember my sister (2 accidental pregnancies, don't you love it) didn't go to the obs very often until the final weeks. It's going to feel really weird to be in with all the "normal" pregnant people after the intensity of ivf!
So far I haven't had any MS, just hungry, thirsty, constipated/bloated & a bit crampy.

results are in - beta is just over 15,100 at 5 weeks and 2 days pregnant. feeling slightly less nervous now but will feel better after the scan on the 25th. The ob I have been recommended by my FS actually specialises in high risk pregnancy. I got her pack today and she does check ups every 4 weeks til 28 weeks, then fornightly, then weekly after 34 weeks. So I feel a little reassured she will be quite attentive.

rosey - I am originally from Perth !

    Hi everyone, can I join?

I'm six weeks along today after my first IVF-PGD cycle. My estimated due date is 4th July. I have my scan on 18th November, so I'm counting down the days & hoping this is a sticky!

I haven't had too many symptoms. I had some bad nausea for a couple of days a few weeks ago but it seems to be better now. I've had some cramping, which has been better since I was allowed to stop the progesterone pessaries. I've mostly just been really tired & drained.

emski - good luck with your scan! it's not ectopic!

oh no emski - I really hope that it's not. Question though - if they think it is then surely they shouldn't be waiting until Monday to scan and find out? Gosh it is going to be a long weekend waiting for you. I really hope everything works out for you

welcome heartstringz and congratulations ! fingers crossed for a good scan coming up too, I hope the wait goes quickly for you

    Hi ladies!

can i join? It's still early days for me, 5 wks gone, had two BTs and and having my first scan next week. Est due date 10 July.

Soready nice to see you again on this thread. I still pop into the other thread but I am extremely sensitive to posting anything whilst there r others still aiming for the elusive Bfp hurdle.......kind of feel like posting anything is a little bit like rubbing salt into pre existing wounds!

Anyhow, im in qld. This was our third ivf cycle, and I'm feeling horrible!! Crampy and uncomfortable, bloated constipated and a little nauseous too. And omg the tiredness.... I'm out like a light by 7pm most nights, falling asleep on the couch! I loving nap times on weekends though!! But, I wouldn't change anything and feel blessed to get this far.

its funny, no one really prepares you for all the additional waiting that goes on after your Bfp! I was always so focused on getting here I didn't really think about the waiting just to make sure everything is ok??

Emski, hope your news improves and everything is ok. I agree, it's going to be a long weekend for you.......

Hi bayside, welcome to the thread and congrats again! We are only one day apart. Yes the waiting now is almost worse than the waiting during the cycle, during the cycle you just seem to prepare for bad news but now you have hope it seems harder.

I had a scare last night, another driver ran up the back of me, nothing too serious but about 1 1/2 later once I got home I had the most severe cramping, I was curled into a ball, almost vomiting from the pain. DH slept in the spare room so I could just rest and I feel better today but I was petrified it was another mc. I have no bleeding though so taking that as a good sign at this stage

Emski how are you feeling today?

Hi ladies, I'm over in the April/May/June ivf babies thread, but I just wanted to pop in and say congrats to you all on making it this far!!

It's a very nerve wracking time once you get your bfp, but do try to enjoy it. Most of us in the other thread had morning sickness hit around 7 weeks, and a few lucky ones have missed out all together.

If any of you want to ask questions of pregnant ivfers a bit further along in the process then please feel free to pop in to the other thread, or you can pm myself. Otherwise I'll leave you to it
