I inserted evening primrose oil capsules.. Sex? Go for a walk/ waddle? Picture giving birth in your mind? Download a hypnobirthing mantra on your iPod and go to bed listening to it. Wait?

Your little munchkin might just want a bit more time to relax before coming into the big wide world ;-)

I got labour inducing accupuncture and massage. Worked a treat!!

Got treated on Monday. Massive plug loss wed & Thursday. Bloody show Friday followed by a day of regular cntrxns -pre labour. Waters broke Sunday 6am- labour progressed quickly. 5cm dilated by 8am, she was born at 4pm.

Can they give you a stretch and sweep? I had one a couple of days before my due date and my waters broke 12 hours later.
Who knows if anything really works though- at this late stage in pregnancy it could all just be a coincidence.
Either way, your bub can't stay in there forever... not long now

For me, sex worked, as well as brisk walking, squats and cooking up a hot thai curry or stir fry. My first 2 were spontaneous labour at exactly 38 weeks. All the best x

Ive tried hot food, aparently pineapple so eaten heaps fresh pine apple not worked
ive been sick whol pregnancy with one thing or another and told if not better by next check up ill be induced. ... I dont want to be induced! I walk heaps but havnt been for a brisk long walk.... dont have sex too often due to uncomfortable but im told semen softens the cervix which can bring on the labour... maybe elevating myself best I can will help?

Realistically.. Nothing is an effective method alone. Some things are more likely to assist once the natural course has already started. But if bubs isn't ready yet, no amount of curry or sex will help. Otherwise we would be warned to avoid most of these wives tales for the entire pregnancy.
