Just make sure it is thrush through dr diagnosis. I was treating thrush myself for two years, including through my pregnancy (well, it started when pregnant). Turns out it was bacterial vaginosis, which the anti-fungal was only exacerbating. Plus I had topical dermatitis. Turns out, a sitz bath with bicarb was all I needed.

I find sex flares it right up, but it has to do with ph levels.

I you poor thing...I'd never had thrush in my life, then pregnant with #2 and had it for about 6 months on and off. Was awful and we stopped DTD as it just wasn't worth it.
I bought femfresh wash which made it more comfy and did 7day pessary more times than I remember just to make it bearable.
Bub is now 9 months old and I've not had it since he was born.
Hopefully you've not got long to go.

Do you pee after sex? If I don't I get thrush. I don't know the logistics behind it but I have to pee straight away

I find the pessary works best to get rid of it, the cream did nothing (even the 7day cycle of the cream). Ill see my DR so he can rule out BV. I do pee straight away, in this instance i also showered straight away, but next day i had thrush starting already.

It sucks doesn't it? I'm prone to it anyway but have had it really badly since being preggo. I find that making DP use a condom helps (although that might defeat the purpose of dtd to induce labour?) and I am also now making DP treat himself too. I have used the black mores probiotics designed for thrush in the past with good results- not sure if they're safe during preg though, would have to ask the pharmacist/GP.

Antibiotics will only make the thrush worse, as it kills ALL bacteria and you want the good bacteria there. Try a good probiotic like inner health plus. As pp mentioned it also has a lot to do with ph levels, the vagina is naturally acidic where as males and semen is more alkaline so it can often flare up after dtd because of that. It could also be BV, which a dr will prescribe an antibiotic for but if you're not taking a good probiotic with the antibiotic it will just flare the thrush back up.
This may be tmi also but I have a copper iud and recently have had a lot of problems with what I think is BV, and thrush. I never have douched before but i was getting so frustrated so after reading around, I tried using a small amount of hydrogen peroxide mixed with water to 'flush' everything out. Amazingly it seems to have worked well (along with probiotics) . And it is safe to do.
Eta. Not sure about in pregnancy though

I think it would be safe to do but best to double check. I'm sure most drs might advise against it because they would rather prescribe antibiotics but the particular anti bs for BV (flagyl) I don't think are safe during pregnancy (I had them recently after having a lletz done)

Yes it sounds scary but seriously read up on it. It's naturally occurring in the vagina anyway
