    Default 2 more days!

    So I have two (well two and half) more days until I'm admitted for my c-section for medical reasons. This is my first baby.
    Obviously I'm beside myself with excitement to finally meet my LO.
    I was hoping to get any last tips/words of advice from hubbers who have had a c-section before.
    What to expect? What to take?
    I think I've got everything packed after looking at a few lists online but personal experience is always appreciated.

    Hi, I had a scheduled c section as well because DD was breech. To take:

    Magazine or book to read while you are waiting beforehand (I was admitted at 10, DD didn't arrive until 2)
    Camera! Our midwife took the most amazing photos of DD's birth which I cherish
    Lots of maternity pads
    Lots of granny undies
    Comfy pajamas
    Nice shower/body lotion so when you finally do get to shower you will feel good
    Pop top water bottle - I had trouble sitting up afterwards so found it easier to drink from this than a glass
    Phone and charger so family can arrange visits
    All the normal stuff for baby - clothes, wraps etc.

    But mostly just enjoy it, getting to finally meet our DD was the most amazing experience and happiest moment of my life

    How exciting!

    I haven't had a c-section but from reading on here lots of ladies say to pack comfy undies.

    I wore socks the whole time. For some reason my feet were freezing, so maybe take some just in case. And slippers.

    All the best

    Haha, don't worry about the socks! After a c section you will be wearing sexy pressure stockings for the first five days (usually supplied by hospital). Such a good look and not at all hot and itchy

    I still needed socks my feet were freezing! I was also naughty and took those stunning stockings off after 24hrs as they set my eczema off (the last thing I needed was to be itching 24/7).

    What I needed the most:
    * Comfy undies (I used Bonds Bumps undies they sat below the incision).
    * Maternity pads (my hospital only provided those huge surfboard ones that were really uncomfy).
    * Comfy pj/yoga pants.
    * Easy feeding tops/singlets.
    * Nursing bra's - I think the list said 2 & I needed 5 - I only stayed 5 days.
    * Camera, charger & spare memory card.
    * Phone & Charger.

    What I wish I'd taken & will be taking this time:
    * Feeding Pillow
    * Snacks
    * Heat pack
    * AIO's &/or Bonds wonder suits for bubs - DS was a snuggler & wouldn't settle in the hospital provided t-shirts.

    All the best bubbles, how exciting!!
    i guess the main things that stand out for me after having my c-section
    - stay on top of your pain relief (if you let it get too bad its hard to get it back under control)
    - pack lots of feeding singlets (drop down latch kind)
    - granny undies
    - chocolate/ musli bars/ fruit/ other snacks/ also sustagen is good to restore nutrients and energy and help milk supply
    - lots of coins for random vending machine visits or to help family and friends with parking machines when visiting!
    - maternity pads +++
    - shampoo/con/ body wash/ moisteriser etc plus hairbrush
    - bub outfits x 3
    - your own pillow?
    all the best xx
