Default Perth Fertility Clinic / Doctors recommendations

    Hello,

I am new to Perth and trying for my first pregnancy for a year. Due to my age my GP referred me for a fertility consultation with Dr. Lucy Williams.

Can someone let me know if she's a good option or if you would recommend seeing another fertility Dr. / Clinic.

    Thank you.

Which clinic does she work out of?

There are a number of good clinics in perth, and you will find people who love (and who hate) each of them. i think the best thing to do is to make an appointment, go and have a chat to her, and see whether or not you feel comfortable with her manner and her plan of action.

    good luck! Xx

I've heard a lot of good things about Concept (I personally went to Hollywood), so I'd say you will be in good hands

I live in Perth and just started the journey to have a baby as a single! It's an exciting time but a little scary... After my first apt at concept they have said it could be an 18mth wait, anyone have experience there, is 18mths realistic?? Do other wa clinics have the same wait on donor sperm?

We're going to Hollywood with Dr Simon Turner and I love him.

The most important thing in a doc to me is that they listen to what I want and abide by it (where possible). He's very good like that. He also has a very pragmatic approach to things. He has a personal history of fertility issues so he knows first hand what we're going through.

My only other recommendation is to avoid Dr Simon Harding. I had endo surgery with him and wasn't happy at all. Swapped to Dr Turner straight after.

    GL!!

    Default Fertility

Hi everyone. I hope someone can offer advice.
I'm 28 and I live in Perth. My wife an I have been trying to conceive. I have been diagnosed with azoospermia after 2 negative semen analysis. I had a testicular biopsy which showed no sperm. I had 2 brain tumours as a child and had to have chemotherapy, radiation and surgery. Has anyone else had similar history and successfully fathered a child?
    Thanks so much.

@Jenandsquid. Many singles go interstate as the wait for donor sperm is shorter interstate. My clock was ticking.. So I went to QFG in Brisbane (to see the amazing Warren De Ambrosis) as there was no wait for donor sperm. Also check out the

Smc .. Solo mothers by choice.. oz website ..

Is very handy for singles and you can meet/chat with other singles looking to TTC. There are implication for Medicare rebates if you are accessing fertility treatment as a single.. As it is classed as social infertility. Feel free to message me. I too am in Perth. Good luck.

Default Perth Fertility Clinic / Doctors recommendations

The pp was from over 2 year ago @kylie764?
@Johnathant I'm sorry to read your post. I'm afraid I don't know much about your particular diagnosis but I know there is a azoospermia thread somewhere on here and the posters are all very knowledgable and helpful. Could a mod perhaps post the link (sorry, I'm not sure how)
