Default Family holiday, where to stay close to Seaworld?

    Hi

looking at taking the kids on holiday and visiting seaworld.

We usually stay at the Sunshine Coast as it's quiet etc however would love to take my 10 yr old to seaworld for the 1st time.

Need advice on where to stay? Need somewhere clean, preferably self contained and hopefully reasonably quiet. And reasonably close to seaworld.

Is is there anything you could recommend? Been looking on trip advisor but it's all very confusing Would almost consider staying at coolum where we usually stay coz we know and like it there and just drive to seaworld for the day. But I presume it would be a good couple of hours each way?

    thanks for any tips/advice!

Looked at seaworld Nara resort it would be handy ,but it seems very expensive. Might have to save a little while longer! And ideally we would prefer something self contained if possible. Have you stayed at seaworld resort before, how did you find it?

Cudo has a deal on at the moment. You can stay at Seaworld Resort for 5 nights for $899 including unlimited entry to Seaworld, Movie World and Wet n Wild. Plus it includes buy one, get one free deals for meals and stuff while you are there.

Sandcastles on the broadwater. Great with kids of all ages and self contained. it's sort of equal with seaworld, but on the mainland bit, so you just catch the bus down and around.

the last few times we have gone we have stayed either north or south of the main surfers area. I personally don't think it's as family friendly as it once was.

We stay at the mantra sun city quite often (though I do admit it has been about 6 months), but we always enjoy it there. It's not in the central surfers area, but is an easy walk.. And like someone else said, the buses are always running to the theme parks. At the resort there are a few different pools and also a water slide so lots of fun for the kids. I've always found it pretty decently priced, but it might add up over a longer stay..

    .

It seems expensive but when we stayed there the cost included sea world entry so you need to take that off then the rooms weren't too bad. It has a great water park area for kids.

also stayed at turtle beach resort which is great fun for kids.

Thanks for the information, will look into those suggestions. Sandcastles looks good, the cudo deal for seaworld is awesome but really need somewhere that offers a separate bedroom, my daughter has sleep anxiety issues needs her own room so it's a shame as $900 for 5 nights incl entry is a fantastic deal. The other places sound great too will google them now! Thanks again!
