Smile Toowoomba area - New mummas aged 35+

Hello, I have created a group for mothers over the age of 35 (or close enough to) who are first time mothers, mothers of new babies or mothers of infants. I have recently moved back to the area and found that at most playgroups we tried out that most of them were a lot younger than me and they weren't very open to making new friends so it became an uncomfortable experience and put me off going. So with the idea that I'd like to meet other mothers like me I created a facebook group for like minded ladies. I'm not sure if you're allowed to put a link to an outside webpage on here but if you do a facebook search the group name is Mums (35+) of Bubs & Infants. I only created the group about a week ago so we've only had one small meet up but we have a few more scheduled. The other mothers are from all over Toowoomba and also some from Pittsworth, Meringandan and Gowrie Junction, oh and I think there is also a lady from Gatton.

Hi vrh88, How did you go finding a group. I'm a 30+ first time Mum looking for a group of others similar to make friends, etc. I have an 8 week old daughter.

Hello, thank you for your interest.
We did have a couple of meet ups but it didn't last as it seemed people had limited time to actually meet up. Sorry.

Hi Erin, have had no luck at all. I'm thinking I may start a facebook group and see what interest there is. I'm also a 30+ mum, my girl is 7 weeks old, and would really love to connect with similiar "older" mothers.
