    Default The "Fail" thread

Reviving this thread, I needed to share. Had a complete epic fail moment today, until this point I had been feeling like a pro at this parenting gig.

Attempted to eat dinner with a glass of red wine but lil has been stuck on boobs all arvo/evening. She then did a no 3 through everything (my milk came in this morning) and started screaming. Got up to change her, and sent my wine flying.

Red wine all over dd1 who was next to me- head to toe including hair and face. All over me. Splattered over the cream carpet. Honestly it looked like a whole bucket of wine.
Dd1 started screaming. lil was already screaming. Complete chaos.

I dealt with lil and me and DH dealt with dd1. Several minutes later I came out in my underpants (it had spilt over all my outfit) to a naked dd1 and DH frantically scrubbing the carpet, our meals stone cold. I asked if the wine was coming off and he snapped "no, the carpet's bloody ruined". Cue a hormonal me bursting into tears and I just couldn't stop sobbing.

Just an awful evening. All settled now though with a new glass and dd2 stuck on my boobs.

Eta: the carpet is ruined. To be fair though it probably already was.

Put a load of salt over the red wine on the carpet and leave it overnight to absorb it

A few weeks ago I walked out of the toilet cubicles at work with toilet paper stuck in my pants still attached to the roll.
