It's not the neatest but it took me about 10 minutes and cost around $15 so can't complain!
    Can I have some? :-)

I'm not allowed to use the blender. I like making potato soup, but I'm never satisfied with its texture, so DH suggested that I put tot through the blender. Its got a hole in the lid, which is apparently supposed to be there. Anyway, I turned it on, rather than pulsing, and the lid jumped off and I sprayed boiling hot potato soup all over my kitchen and self. I even managed to burn my shoulder (i was wearing a singlet top), which blistered.

I only burnt myself once, but I did spray more than one batch of soup around the kitchen.

Not my own fail but DP. Not food related either but..

I went to bed before DP last night and about 10 minutes later I'm in that nice relaxed state just before sleep.. Anyway DP starts calling me, getting louder and louder each time. I start to storm out quite annoyed at him for being so loud and almost waking dd's up, when all of a sudden he says "look up, spider!"

He got ME out of bed, almost waking the girls up, to take care of a spider. Ok, yes it was a big, huge hairy huntsman, but still..

    too funny!

My 'fail' was when I was young (the previous peewee 50 story reminded me).

I was on my cousins farm and was asked if I wanted to have a go on a bike.. Why not eh? Anyhoo, I wasn't really told what to do but 'slammed' the accelerator on, legs are dangling out the sides, yelling out for help, sister trying to run after me but laughing too hard... Ended up hitting a stump and landing, belly first, into a cow pat. After they checked I (and the bike) was ok they all laughed hysterically for a while... Needless to say I've never been the driver on a bike again.

I was keen to get my motorbike licence but the last time I had ridden a bike, I opened up the throttle and was heading straight for the fence. I used to sit in my bedroom and practice the throttle, change gear function over and over again. I wanted to prove to my 3 brothers that I could get my licence and that I'd stick to my word. Needless to say I am now a fully licenced bike rider after all that practice I did in my room

Ok, here's my gift to BH. These are the fluffiest scones I've ever eaten and I have never, ever stuffed them up.

Mrs Trilby's Scones (my mum got the recipe off someone at a fete called Mrs Trilby and I just went with it)

    Preheat oven to 220C

-3 and 1/2 cups self-raising flour, plus a little for dusting bench
    -1 cup lemonade
-1 cup pure cream ( NOT thickened, lite, etc, only pure)

Combine ingredients (I like to use the dough hook on my mixer), then roll out and cut.

    Check at 8 minutes.
Am trying this one. Watch this thread for my results
