I miss soft serve and I had just got a taste for fro-yo as well and can't have that either. Oh well I'm sure I'll make up for it haha

I don't actually like the taste of soft serve.
I think anything "not ok" in moderation really would be okay. If not, then why aren't we all walking around with 2 heads. Our mothers didn't know the rules :-)

Just everything in moderation and common sense really... I'm not going to pig out on the "bad" stuff all the time, eat old leftovers or dodgy takeaway food if I can avoid it. But I am a pretty chilled out person generally LOL

This was my theory too, and ds its perfect!
My only cravings were maccas frappes and mcflurrys. I gave in to them once a week or so.
I ate deli meats (but warmed e.g. toasted sandwhich or home made pizza on pita) high temps kill listeria
I ate takeaway-from selected places that showed good hygiene, washed their hands, seperate tongs, clean premesis. Etc
I ate from buffets- stalked until I seen fresh dishes come out and pounced on them.

I never understood my sil. my niece was preg 7 weeks ahead of me. My sil went off at me because I ate a salad, that id cooked, earlier that day and put in the fridge myself.... But didn't say anything when my niece ate a sav in batter, chips etc...? Surely a salad you make yourself is better for bub than deep fried miscelaneous processed deli meat??

Pretty sure a salad you make yourself is fine for a day! And anything served piping hot.

I know hot was fine... But tge whole nutrients vs crap pile of fat...I know what I preferred to"feed" my son although, at almost 3, theres no difference and I can't say either suffered our choices.

I do on a side note wonder though if food preferences affect placenta health and as a result, bubbas health/food supply.... Niece said her placenta (and cord etc) was starting to break down and even a midwife contented on it, looked old and tattered etc, mine was healthy looking and still on good condition. Her ds was quite small as a newborn, my ds was a heffalump. Lol.

I've wondered ever since we gave birth.... I should pose the question to an obstetrics student for investigation!
