Did I read right its your first anniversary, and the first modern gift is "clock"?

is he in a desk job? Or travels heaps? You could get him a desk clock, or a travel alarm clock, I seen some gorgeous silver ones you can personalize with an engraving for about $30 in a magazine for identity direct (google it )I was thinking my dad (interstate truck driver) would like one

The modern version is clock, but you could always go traditional which is paper. A lovely photo of the two of you, maybe one hinting the 'soon to be three' of you. A poem to reflect your life together, something romantic that doesn't necessarily have to be "something". That's in the true spirit of a first ann.

First wedding anniversary presents for us: I got the sheet music from our wedding dance, and he printed maps of where we met, where we got married and where we live... :-)

My first wedding anniversary isn't until January. Presents hadn't even crossed my mind. But we are going back to stay at the place where we were married in southern Tassie. (:

Funchu, how frustrating for your. I'm still hoping against hope that your BFP is hiding away. I hope you can get the answers you need soon!

As for me.. my bleeding started Monday night and I've had nothing since Tuesday morning.. except for some occasional brown spotting. Aggghhhh!! What is going on? Seriously body? Just get your act together..

I made an appointment with the doctor for Monday. They tried to tell me she was all booked out until January. I explained my situation and then suddenly they could fit me in on Monday afternoon! I'm so nervous about it. I don't know why. Just feeling very emotional at the moment.

Our anniversary is in late November...not sure what we are doing yet but I was thinking of getting DH a paper or magazine subcription.

We don't really do tradition. For our first wedding anniversary I got DH one of those 3D viewers with photos from our wedding & my wedding vows (we wrote our own) - I stole the idea off Phil from Modern Family. I also got some cowboy fabric & a robe pattern (I guess that's paper) to make him a cowboy robe like the one Peter has in "The Sweetest Thing" (a movie we both like, but have no idea why because it's completely stupid). We went away, so DH bought me entry tickets to something, paid for a nice dinner & bought me a few small bits & pieces whilst we were there.
Our 4th wedding anniversary is in Feb. I don't think we did gifts for our 2nd or 3rd anniversaries... we would have been too preoccupied with house renovations for our 2nd & for our third (this year) we just cooked a nice meal at home and went to the movies (& bd - it was o time). I wonder what the traditional gift is for 4th wedding anniversary?

Ugh, nomie. No good you poor chook. Glad you scored a Monday appointment. You need answers and closure already!

Shadow how was your ultra sound today? Did the sonographer shed any light?

Still have my fingers crossed for a pleasent surprise for you funchu!

Dh and I don't really buy each other stuff. We have everything we need. But I really loved those romantic paper presents! So sweet! It's our 3rd anniversary in May. I think. No 4th. Yeah fourth! But I have the date down pat!

Little ted, there is no way I could tell sil, she can't keep a straight face, mil would very soon figure it out! It would be perfect otherwise.
    Might go with migraine.

I don't think we've ever done anniversary presents. We've gone out to dinner though. Did a family thing for our 10th. 11th coming up soon - it must be wedding season! I think we will try and get out and get a baby sitter.

Trio - pity she can't be trusted. Migraine might start coming on soon then!

Nomie - Hopefully they will scan you next week too to see if it is gone.
