I was (and still am somehow?) convinced it was a boy. I would have lost a lot of money on a bet I was that confident. Only 17 weeks so not sure what the margin for error is. Anatomy scan at 19 weeks so not telling anyone until then. Now kinda freeking out she was wrong or I heard her wrong (she whispered to be because my mum came today as dh couldn't make it) even though I love baby with all my heart despite its gender.

Can not wait for Disney to have her baby!

And yay for you finding out soon wobbler!

Congrats on the little girl SJK. we get to find out Tuesday so excited and waited so long to finally get to that point.

Well have had my salad and boring diet this week. Once DH went to work snuck out and very badly bought a muffin and some icing boy was it good but the vomiting after was not so it was definitely not worth it.

Look forward to hearing Disney have her baby.

At 17weeks sjk it would be fairly reliable. Definately check at the morph scan though, and I know the confusion you are feeling. Once it is confirmed, give it a few weeks and im sure you will feel different.

I was so sure ds was going to be a girl, target had a baby sale on about 10 days before my scan, I was going down to layby some dresses! I didn't, because mum talked me out of it and said it would be a great way to celebrate after the scan (going shopping). Just as well!
It felt so surreal shopping for a boy when for 4 mouths I was convinced is be buying dresses.
    It will pass

Meant to be doing more exercise but that also means i have to stop throwing up of a morning first. Told my personal trainer was.hoping to come walk on the treadmill slowly next week. See OB a week after scan tuesday so maybe he has some other news. Funny thing is when i have to have gallbladder out it wont be at work lol the general surgeons are too old, outdated with surgery practices and im not sharing a room with an old medical patient as will have a small baby and not be sleeping at home already lol.

Sadly the results were worse than the 1st test. And are as follows (if I remember rightly)...

    1st Test
-Concentration: 45 Million (they like to see above 5 million).
    -30% Motile
    -30% sluggish motility
    -40% non motile
    -Normal morphology 2%
    -Abnormal morphology 98%

    2nd Test
    -Concentration: 5 Million
    -25% Motile
    -5% sluggish motility
    -70% non motile
    -Normal morphology 1%
    -Abnormal morphology 99%

I'm hoping 'Motile' means they're moving & moving forwards.
But I guess a lot of the ones that are doing that, are oddly shaped...

DH is gutted, he apologised to me but in true Mr Calstar fashion he's keeping things bottled up.
I'm away over night, so here's hoping he lets it all out while I'm away.

Me? Well, it's odd really. I'm not really sure how to feel. Last night after we got the results I think my protectiveness/mothering instinct kicked in & I just wanted to protect DH and tell him it'll be ok.
This morning, as I think about it all a bit more, I'm a bit emotional & I can feel the floodgates buckling under the pressure a bit. But mainly, I kind of just feel numb.
After the 1st results, I researched heaps into IVF and I think in doing so, I'm ok with that if it comes to that. But I have hope that it will happen naturally.
My 2nd psychic reading told me January (the 1st one said October). So if we fall in January the edd would be October. And January's too close now for that to be an IVF pregnancy right??
@Bebedayz has also given me hope. She has a BFP despite her Dh's unfavourable SA results.
So it must be able to happen to me too.
I've got to keep believing that.

I'm good people, and I don't think it's too much to ask.

It's weird...I always thought/knew (deep inside) that we'd have trouble.
Trouble because I want it so much.
Everything we've ever wanted, we've hard to go the hard way, the longest way. Tried & tested every step of the way. Just to make sure we want it enough.
It took us a very stressful 3 years to get the green light to move to Australia. And I always say its because they were seeing how badly we wanted it & that we were 100% into it.

Well World, u can tell you without question, I want my baby. Please don't keep me waiting too much longer
    Hi Calstar,

    Sending you big hugs!!!

Just remember it only takes 1 good sperm, even in a count of 5 million with 1% good morph and 30% good motility. That's enough hopefully.

    I recommend a break/getaway/holiday and lotsa loving!!!!

Our FS told us that SA is like the stock exchange constantly changeing, so it's merely a line in the sand at a point in time. Ensure DH is releasing some boys every 2-3 days for optimum production.

I hope it all works out for you really soon xoxo

Wow so much to catch up on!

Shadow, I was so excited for you! But you seem to be very optimistic about it all. I guess now you have a little bit more information to give the fertility specialist when you see them. So sorry shadow. Did you tell your dh?

Calstar, sorry to hear about the next sperm sample not being as hopeful as the first. But I am so glad that your dh is letting you in. You guys will have to work as a team now more than ever. Best wishes.

Wobbler try to think about all the good nutrients you are feeding you growing bub in all the healthy salads you have been having. When do you have your gall bladder operation?

Ds has just woken so will reply more tomorrow, we had a Greta trip to the coast!

Thanks trio, I still haven't told him. If it pans out as af id rather he didn't know. he doesnt know how to handle things like this, he coped ok with our mc but last chem he crushed me by saying.. "I can see the line but its really faint, so you werent quite pregnant. Oh well, we just have to go at it like rabbits all next month then" so I wasnt going to show him until it was dark.....
No mater how much I've explained cycles and ovulation, he doesn't get it, just seems to think "we bd'd, you should be utd!"

Also, its not your DH's fault so try not to let him blame himself too much. He can do stuff to improve it...healthy diet, lifestyle etc, something like menevit might help. Also maybe aim for BD every second day during the fertile period to build up the numbers a bit.

Also, if you do need to go down the IVF route, if your fertility is normal, it will likely take less than 3 cycles. But with numbers like that you should be able to fall naturally (especially if the count is more towards 45mil), it just might take a bit of time. How long have you been trying?

After DH got the first set of results that Dr said they 'weren't good' and recommended a 2nd test to compare results and if they weren't good than a referral to a FS.
When we went in the other night for the 2nd lot of results she bought the FS referral up again, but said to discuss things between ourselves & let her know.

This is our 8 month of trying.

Preliminary tests for me hasn't really highlighted any serious fertility issues.
Just insulin resistance (which I need rechecked in a months time) and a Bicornuate uterus.
