Thank you all. It really means a lot. So much love on BH. Calstar you made me cry this morning... Such lovely words x

Pretty cold and blustery here in Launceston today but we got out and about and went to a platypus house, and seahorse farm where I got to hold a seahorse! Very cute!

We also released a balloon each and just after we let them go the sun shone through for the first time today... It was nice..

And Nomie, thank you so much for telling me about that cake studio, we headed there to grab a couple of cupcakes earlier and they were lovely!

So...DH and I got his 2nd SA results last night (yes, I was allowed to come this time around).
Sadly the results were worse than the 1st test. And are as follows (if I remember rightly)...

    1st Test
-Concentration: 45 Million (they like to see above 5 million).
    -30% Motile
    -30% sluggish motility
    -40% non motile
    -Normal morphology 2%
    -Abnormal morphology 98%

    2nd Test
    -Concentration: 5 Million
    -25% Motile
    -5% sluggish motility
    -70% non motile
    -Normal morphology 1%
    -Abnormal morphology 99%

I'm hoping 'Motile' means they're moving & moving forwards.
But I guess a lot of the ones that are doing that, are oddly shaped...

DH is gutted, he apologised to me but in true Mr Calstar fashion he's keeping things bottled up.
I'm away over night, so here's hoping he lets it all out while I'm away.

Me? Well, it's odd really. I'm not really sure how to feel. Last night after we got the results I think my protectiveness/mothering instinct kicked in & I just wanted to protect DH and tell him it'll be ok.
This morning, as I think about it all a bit more, I'm a bit emotional & I can feel the floodgates buckling under the pressure a bit. But mainly, I kind of just feel numb.
After the 1st results, I researched heaps into IVF and I think in doing so, I'm ok with that if it comes to that. But I have hope that it will happen naturally.
My 2nd psychic reading told me January (the 1st one said October). So if we fall in January the edd would be October. And January's too close now for that to be an IVF pregnancy right??
@Bebedayz has also given me hope. She has a BFP despite her Dh's unfavourable SA results.
So it must be able to happen to me too.
I've got to keep believing that.

I'm good people, and I don't think it's too much to ask.

It's weird...I always thought/knew (deep inside) that we'd have trouble.
Trouble because I want it so much.
Everything we've ever wanted, we've hard to go the hard way, the longest way. Tried & tested every step of the way. Just to make sure we want it enough.
It took us a very stressful 3 years to get the green light to move to Australia. And I always say its because they were seeing how badly we wanted it & that we were 100% into it.

Well World, u can tell you without question, I want my baby. Please don't keep me waiting too much longer

What did the doctor say Calstar? The 1st test wasn't too bad except for morphology (do you know what a good % of normal morphology is?). SA's can vary a lot...sperm aren't always the same so thats why its good to do a couple.

Also, its not your DH's fault so try not to let him blame himself too much. He can do stuff to improve it...healthy diet, lifestyle etc, something like menevit might help. Also maybe aim for BD every second day during the fertile period to build up the numbers a bit.

Also, if you do need to go down the IVF route, if your fertility is normal, it will likely take less than 3 cycles. But with numbers like that you should be able to fall naturally (especially if the count is more towards 45mil), it just might take a bit of time. How long have you been trying?

Was so hoping there was going to be more positive results for you Calstar. I hope you don't have to wait too long either. Wish we could get a hold of your DH and give him a hug too. Infertility is no-one's fault.

For us, the infertility was on my part and DH did really well not to let me see him upset, but then I found him a couple of times laying in bed crying - for me, I wished he was more open about what he was feeling, but it also hit home how much it was affecting him too.

I'm a little reserved on giving my opinion. If you want it, ask, otherwise I will keep it to myself!

With your question about IVF - they would also do a full bloods work up on yourself and possibly a laparoscopy (depending on fs) prior to make sure there aren't any roadblocks on your side. Usually there is some counselling prior. In reality it may only take 3 months, but would depend on when there was an availability to get in to the specialist.

Edit: I guess it's not really an opinion I was going to give, but just an idea - perhaps you and DH could set a period of time in which you are happy to ttc naturally before considering IVF (could be 6months or 5 years). Or alternatively, depending on how DH is feeling, you may make an appt with specialist, but then have the option of cancelling the appt beforehand depending on how long it takes to get in. It depends on whether you want some thinking time. I'm really hoping you can fall naturally soon. What did the doctor recommend? Did they give any indication?

Calstar. Sorry that the SA results didn't come in more favorable. I don't really know anything about SA or IVF but stay as positive as you can! You're going to have some bouts of sadness over the whole thing, but as you say? It's not DH fault and you will work through this together! X

Oh calstar, im sorry the results weren't favorable, I don't know anything about SAs but I really hope you smash the odds out of the park and get your bfp! The girls have given some great perspectives.

So, afm... Af is due today.
I'm hoping she stays away...becauseeeee, as some ladies have seen, yesterday and this morning I've had very very very faint bfps! : celebrate:
I'm trying not to get too excited yet though, as I am thinking it could be a chem.
