Nope. Still no word on the test results.
Doc said she'd call DH when they're in.

Nomie - good to hear AF is finally gone! Hope you get an early Xmas prezzie in the form of a bfp

MrsTugs, my AFs were usually short - 3 days, and normally VERY light.

Oh my god! I am so annoyed!!
Sorry if anyone is one, but seriously what's the deal with receptionists at Doctors Surgery's!!
So I've rung up, just to simply get a yes or no answer as to whether DH's test results are in.
Her: Am I able to speak to DH?
Me: Sorry no he's at work.
Her: I can't speak to you, it has to be DH due to privacy.
Me: But I've rung in for results before
    Her: That's not our policy
    Me: But it's happened before
Her: You can book him an appointment with the Dr for results
Me: Why would I do that if I don't know whether the results are in? That would make the appointment pointless & waste everyone's time.
Her: Well I can only speak with DH, so get him to call in. If you get him to write a disclosure allowing us to speak to you on his behalf & bring it in, then we can speak to you. Do you have one in place?
    Me: I don't know
Her: what's DH name? *checks DH records on system (exactly where my friggin y/n answer is!!!)* No there's not one in place.
Me: Ok. Is it protocol to ring patients to let them know results are in?
    Her: No it's not.
Me: Well when DH saw Dr yesterday (for something unrelated) she said he'd get a phone call when the results are in.
Her: Well I don't know what the Dr said but that isn't our procedure. We advise patients to book a follow up appointment for results.
Me: I'd love to. But we don't know when to expect the results.
Her: Well unless I'm able to speak with DH I can't help you.
Me: Ok thanks. You should really address these procedures in your training. As there's clearly staff working there who are breaking the rules, as I've been advised of whether results are in for DH before.
Her: We've had a lot of new staff start recently, and I'm making a note now to bring this up in our next training session.
Me: Ok, yeh you should, then these issues wouldn't occur. Thanks. Bye

OK so now I've written it all down, I feel stupid that I got so annoyed. But I mean seriously, he's my husband for goodness sake! And all I want is a yes or no. I know everything there is to know about this bloke and you won't even tell me yes or no. What could I possible do with that information that would cause any privacy issues?!

    And breath....
Sorry ladies, I just needed to rant. Apologies for the essay

Oh dear - so not helpful. I don't see how it would be breaking privacy laws if you are trying to book him an appt but just need to know how long it typically takes for results to come in so it's not a wasted appt. A very validated vent!

    Thanks LT.
DH is now annoyed at me for ringing "behind his back" and that he said he was going to call on Monday if he didn't get a phone all before.
I said you won't get a phone call as apparently that's not their policy.
To which I get a reply of "it's my test, ill decide when I get the results"
To which I replied with stone cold silence. Hello? You might have done the test but it hugely involves both of us!
Grrrr! What a great way to kick start the weekend! Hmmpf

That does double very frustrating Calstar!!! As you say, you were only asking if they were in, not the number for crying out loud!!!

    And the plot thickens.
Turns out, after our disagreement DH did actually ring the Dr.
I only know this as he's just got himself ready & left the house to go to see the Dr.
I'm really upset. I wanted to go with him to get the results.
    I'm absolutely petrified.
