Don't hold back - ask the lovely pathology workers to photocopy it for you next time! I only thought about doing that this time and it came in handy. Wished I'd done it last time - BHubbers would have been able to tell me that they missed some!

I'm terribly dodgy with blood referrals. I wanted some results sent to a different doctor once so I just wrote him in in the copy to section! It worked! I have a photocopy of my thyroid one. It's so handy!

My mum and dad stayed last night. So hard not to blurt out our news. They will stay again on Sunday night on their way back home. We are inviting dh parents to dinner that night too, would be a great opportunity to tell them all together but it is just way too early.
I'll be a lot less nervous when we get passed 6 weeks. My first doctors appointment is Friday. Will be just passed 6 weeks then. Well according to lmp anyway!

Trio, will you be asking for an internal scan? Rather than an abdominal one?

After my m/c my parents now know we are trying (but DH's parents don't know). So WHEN I get pregnant again, I'll probably have to tell mine straight away. They've been with me every step of the way through this TTC limbo land. I'm trying really hard to think of a special way to tell them, that will still surprise them. ???

As much as I would love an early scan, I won't ask for one. If my doctor thinks I should do an earlier one because of our miscarriage I will.

My mum knows we are trying too. I spent a week at her place a month ago and absently rubbed my belly, she saw and asked if there was anything in there, nope, but I did tell her maybe next month. I think anyway you tell your mum will be a beautiful surprise!

I agree. I'm sure she will just be happy for a grandbaby!

After my mc, I told mum by saying she needed to take over at work so I could see the gp because I was preg sand wanted clarification on the meds. (I worked for her)

Ive dreamt of being cryptic... E.g. to announce xmas day... Give her and dad a box of random items each, see who twigs.

mum: wool, knitting needless, toy dummy, mini pegs, single baby sock, ultrasound pic... "merry xmas nanny" from ds and *t.b.a. In august* short of thing.

Dad would get similar, but mini toy truck, tools etc instead of wool.

Or just putting the us pic in a frame, or buying baby a jumpsuit with a saying on it, but giving it to them for announcing it.

I had a great one for ds.... "if mummy and daddy say no, I go ask grandma"
