We had to move house and gastro went through the whole family ... so we couldn't call on friends to help with the move because that would put them at risk of catching it.

So we had to do it all ourselves, whilst struggling with illness - not fun.

My dad used to service commercial air conditioners. He had gastro when working on the roof of a major shopping centre. He crapped himself on the roof and had to walk down 4 flights of stairs to get to a toilet.

I am so, so, so grateful that I don't get gastro type bugs.

Another IBS sufferer here. When I get pains well I need to go there and then.
It always seems to be when I'm trying to buy stuff I need in shops, especially the movie hire shops :-/
One day I almost poo'd my pants when at work and it was very messy when I got to the toilet.
I'm a lot better at knowing my trigger foods now though, but sometimes it can anything I eat and I've gotta go.

In antenatal class while 34 weeks pregnant I was getting horrific and regular cramps. MW made me go over to the ward to get checked. At some stage I got up and went to the toilet - DH reckons you could hear every noise from the bathroom and the young trainee midwife couldn't cope and had to leave the room.

I caught a super bug in hospital after having my last baby. Pretty much ended up with 5 weeks of diarrhea until I was hospitalised... So my worst time and place was having a newborn baby and a third degree tear and having to do number twos every half hour for 5 weeks in the middle of summer when your toilets temperature is up to 45 Celsius!

When I was pg I suffered with shocking diarrhoea (along with ms - not fun). I'd get hideous cramps and have about 1 minute to get to a toilet. I had 2 awful times when I didn't make it - driving to work ( ugh, trying to block that from my memory ) and waiting to pay for fuel at the service station. There was a line of people and I was paying by card. There was no toilet at the servo ( had been vandalised so was closed). I ran to the adjoining hungry jacks but didn't make it. It was so awful.
