    I don't know why Aussies are so suspicious and non-interested in their neighbours. I'm all for Halloween! It's not just about the kids trick-or-treating, it's one more exciting and fun activity for the kids o fe together and plan and be creative! Fun all over!

    I dont mind if others want to celebrate Halloween but I personally dont like the idea. The whole taking lollies from strangers thing freaks me out. I wont be letting my dd trick or treat when she is older.
    No one in my area celebrates it anyway. I know a few elderly neighbours in my area wouldnt appreciate being doorknocked.

    You know what is weird to me as well. People in this country (I'm not saying everyone.) Love to bash American culture. Even though Halloween is not derivative from Americans it has been popularised by America and that seems to make some Aussie patriots really bloody flamin' angry... We generally would never bash other cultures so openly for fear of the racism card so much as Americans. It's like just because it's America we have a clause that says hating their culture and traditions is ok and not racist. Bizarre?
