Default Indoor activity ideas for when mum is sick :(

    Hi Ladies,

please give me some suggestions! I'm coming down with the flu I think we'll be home the next few days and hoping the little man (16 months) won't get it from me. WHat are some good indoor activities for him to do that would allow me to get as much rest as I can? I'm really starting to feel quite rotten.

A bath? My DS loves the bath. Otherwise I'd get DH to go buy a few new cheap toys to bring out one at a time, a new one as soon as he gets sick of the last.

TV lots of TV! an ipad/ipod/iphone to play on?
colouring in with crayons/chalk/pencils - maybe ask DP to get him a new colouring book?
make up a cosy book corner
a cubby between couches or chairs made with blankets/bed sheets.

Have you got someone who can come over and help out?
    hope you feel better soon

Go to bunnings, get the biggest box you can find, big enough for him to crawl into (free at the front of the shop) and get a pack of chunky crayons. He Can decorate it and crawl in and out. That should keep him happy for a week! We got a box for dd1 at that age, it was big enough for her to crawl in and out of, it stayed in the play area for two years!

Another one, get a smaller box &cut a fist-sized hole. Put wooden jigsaw pieces, little cars, scarves etc inside and let him loose.

The flu sucks! Hope you get better soon
