Default Question for NSW property managers

I have looked on the tenants information on the fair trading website but can't find an answer. Who is responsible for cleaning gutters, landlord or tenant? We have been in this rental 18 months and they have not been done in that time. We used to pay for them to be done by our mower man in our last place, we were there 6.5 years. With all this bad bush fire weather they need to be done but don't know whose responsibility it is?

I know when i lived in QLD I was told by my last PM to never clean gutters as it was the RE's responsibility. Apparently it came down to the risk of injury occurring to the tenant and the RE being held liable.

I have no idea if NSW is the same though. If you can't get an answer here maybe try the tenancy advocacy line?

Is it in your lease? Or if your real estate sends out lists of what to do for an inspection is it in that? We are responsible for ours. We live in the ACT
