My BMI is 24, so the higher end of ok. I'm only a kg or two from being overweight. I'd like it to be less, but it's a struggle just to maintain this.

i go by how i feel. not by what a number tells me.
After my pregnancies, i was lucky enough to loose the weight pretty quikly by doing not much at all except breastfeeding. i gained 15kgs each pregnancy, most of the weight went on in final trimester. i had a 7lb6 bub and a 8lb15 bub.
49kgs is "supposed" to be my "perfect" weight:Height ratio, some book tells me".
I dont FEEL right at 49gks. My clothes dont fit right and i feel sluggish and not hapy with how i look.
When i got back to 45kgs i started to feel normal again. I think 45kgs is MY perfect weight because i FEEL fantastic. I have energy and i have a positive self image at this weight.
I know when i drop below 45kgs because i get moody, headaches and i dont sleep well (excessively and very restless beause im so tired).
While going through PND, some days i could not get out of bed not so much so because of the PND but because i was so weak. i felt like i had a permanent hangover. At my GP, i was weighed and had dropped to a scary 40kgs.
Trying to maintain my weight while breastfeeding was hard. i was tired majority of the time and ive never had a huge appetite which is not a good bf mix.
Apparently according to the "BMI numbers" i am under weight and malnourished. What a crock. im FEEL perfectly great!

How about we go back to listening to our own bodies. Being in tune with ourselves and not be a so called "scale slave". Why would you let a number determine your mood for the rest of the day?

Just for some perspective for those who are feeling down. My BMI is currently 26 (still overweight by close to 3 kgs). But at my heaviest, my BMI was 34.2

I lost 10kg this time last year, but alas, winter over indulgence has meant that I'm back at the exact same starting point as last year, so I'm going again on the weightloss/health train.

    But, my current stats are:
    Size: 14
    Height: 164cm (5'4)
    Weight: 86.3kg
    BMI: 32.1 (obese)
