    Default Help!!!

What is a polite way to say “Not in a million years would I ever let you hold my baby”? I have a BBQ on Sunday and there are people who will be there who I don’t want to hold my 9 week old. Help!

    Smile I know the feeling

I have found the best way around this is for you to hold your baby. My DD does not and will not go to anyone else anyway without screaming the house down. Another thought just say that your baby doesn't respond well to being passed around and therefore you are not going to hand bub around as you are not sure how bub is going to respond to the BBQ and all the people and noise. Sometimes they may not react at the time but the next day is when you have the problem. I attended my brothers engagement party the other day and because DD didn't like the noise and people I had to hold her for a full eight hours. My arms were dead tired but at least she was not getting passed around just because people wanted a hold.

Good luck but it is your baby and you set the rules.

    Default Here's an excuse

    Hi
Just tell them that you don't want to overstimulate baby. New ppl and BBQ sights and sounds will be plenty to experience for a littly. Tell them you're trying to get her to sleep, tell them she's just woken up, tell them she's a chucker. Anything that gets you through - don't ever let anyone talk you into anything you feel is not right.

    Cheers
