Default Who has both ipad 2 & ipad mini?

If you open a same program on both your tablets, do you notice the colours on ipad mini are much paler / duller or is it just me? I need to know before I go return the mini just bought today. Colours just look so ugly and I don't know how to calibrate it.

It's because the mini doesn't have retina display. The original iPad doesn't have it either.

This. But the ipad 2 often looks a bit brighter just because it's bigger I think.

It's not the brightness, the colours on my mini are just dull, especially purple. Here are they side by side

What do you think? Is it how it is or faulty?

I can't really judge yours, but I took some comparisons of mine for you. Sorry they're a bit random, I tried to find ones with a few colours. Both are on half brightness.

Looking at them, the mini does seen a little dimmer.

Thanks a lot SeymourTheBear! Judging by your photos mine is definitely faulty. I'll bring them back to the shop, hope they don't make me go through the whole painful warranty process.
