    Default Brisbane - request for feedback on high school options

    I'm starting to think about high school options and finding it really tough as I don't know anyone with kids at the schools I'm considering.

    I'd be really grateful to hear some feedback about the following schools (in particular the first 2 as they are co-ed):
    • Clairvaux Mackillop College (Upper Mt Gravatt)
    • Mansfield State High School
    • Villanova College (Coorparoo)
    • St Laurence's College (South Brisbane)

    I went to Mansfield High and graduated around 9 years ago. In fact, I attended Mansfield Primary too so I went from Grade 1-12 there

    Fantastic school, great academic record as mentioned above, always up there in the finals with almost all sporting teams. It was like a private school system run from public school. That's what everyone has always said anyway - in a good way. Teachers were great and there are opportunities galore for overseas travel, apprenticeships through tafe, a great French immersion program etc I can't recommend it enough.

    Oh and for what it's worth, I wasn't a nerdy kid who loved school and Wouk rave on about it. I wasn't a bad egg either, just somewhere in between. I got in trouble, I was commended other times, I'd been suspended, I'd won awards, I played sports, I'd performed in musicals etc So I've seen many sides of the school lol and upon reflection, with a bit of life experience behind me now I can happily say I was very happy with my school.
