Hey girls I have yet another question lol

I am due for my nurse/specialist appointment on the 20th of jan I have had an appointment before with a different clinic who has transferred all our test results over ( tubal patency, some bloods, and progesterone as well as df semen analysis) df and I have also taken our bloods and everything which has all been received waiting for us at the clinic if af arrives around the 20th how likely is it that I would be able to start the meds then rather than the end of feb ?

The reason I am asking is because my best friends wedding is on the 1st of march which the original Ivf cycle I had planned would clash with I can't afford to be bloated and emotional at that point as I am the maid of honor and have the dress fitted to my current measurements and its pretty tight around the bust to which is normally the first thing to explode for me once my hormones are going crazy.

So my question is how likely is it that I will be able to start the cycle on and around the appointment? ( provided the tests are all fine of course)

Also should I call them to see if I should go on the pill to hold af off until the appointment just incase ?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

@Amandale1727 - I would think it would depend on the clinic, such as is my situation. Perhaps call them and ask?

AFM: I recalled my last conversation with my gynae about starting IVF and he said, "he will see me in Jan/Feb for EPU!" So chances are that they don't do a monitoring cycle and have enough info to start.. I guess my questions will be answered tomorrow!!!!

ETA: Just got a reminder text from the clinic for my appointment tomorrow! Yay!

I ended up speaking to the nurse and she was so rude and blunt her response was " can't do anything till we see you" and I said oh ok maybe ill just keep the first appointment and she said " uh yeah" she was so so rude ! That's made me loose alot of trust in the clinic I hope there is someone better to deal with who is doing the actual transfer

You must be so excited good luck in your appointment !!

@amandale I would call the clinic and ask to speak to the supervisor and let them no how u felt about the nurse who was rude or call back and let her no yourself the emotional stress and heart ache that we go through is enough without feeling like we can't ask questions or have to walk on egg shells I think any such smart *** attitude is disgusting they know why we are going to clinic and even if they have had a bad day it's kit accost able to take it out on you
As a nurse myself I know that's not how you treat patients and I would expect even more respect from a nurse working in a fertility clinic
Lol I think I just vented for you

Babygirl7 I am taking Gonal F (112.5 IU), and then also cetrotide.

My first injection is tonight - feeling a bit better about it, but still pretty apprehensive! How did you all go the first time you had to give yourself an injection?
