    Ladies!

I have my first Clinic appointment booked for the 15th Jan with Newcastle Genea.

Quite nervous and simply anxious to get started.
Quick question: I am due that day to start CD1... would they be likely to start me on the cycle of meds, or wait for the next month with other tests in between first?

I have just had a lap/dye studies revealing mild endo and blocked tubes. Hubby has been tested previously with good swimmers. So not sure if he will need to retest or not.

Also, if any one has any ideas for hospital fees for EPU and Embryo transfer that would be great. More looking for rough estimates to try and budget/plan for them!!

    welcome Bowties!
Chances are they'll send you off your a bucket loads more tests and you'll more than likely have ti go back for results before the decide which protocol of drugs you'll be on.

EPU costs are dependant on your clinic but for a rough guide our first cycle of PICSI cost approx $8600 upfront with a rebate of $5368 back from medicare.

Hi girls, so glad I came across this thread.
Firstly merry xmas to you all. Im new to this so bare with me.
My dp and I have been trying for over 3 years. No luck. We did get tested. Ie bloods for me and sa for him. Everything came back okay for me (besides from thyroid issues) but low sa for dp.
Can anyone tell me how they found out they had blocked tubes or endo or fibroid s etc. I have regular cycles but are 32 daya...do you think I should be asking for more tests to be done. Or think it might be dp? We are looking into fs appt jan 14th for some furrher info.
Everyone said it was easy to get pregnant...pfft sure.

Oh yes Christmas drinks for sure!! I haven't done any drinking since Jan 2012!!!!

Karissa. You get all the tests done through a fertility specialist. Depending where you are there may be a hospital that do it through the public system. I'm in Melbourne and got referred to the reproductive services unit and had pretty much everything I own poked and prodded!!

    hi ladies

i see so many of you from my July 2013 cycle on the roll call….i thought a few of you got your BFP??? what happened???

AF arrived today….hmmmm and i started freaking out because thats 10 days early! Nurses said this is normal due to my elevated E2 levels. In terms of forward thinking, I was then freaking out that my next periods might come early again next month and I might miss out on my FET cycle as I haven't seen my FS yet??

SO I called my regular clinic at Kogarah IVF Australia to try to get an appt after the new year break…but first appt for my preferred FS is 15th Jan. I was uneasy with this date…so i made more calls to change FS just to get the treatment cycle signed off by somebody, anybody? In the end, I went back to the FS that blessed me with my 2 children as she also has my whole history of IVF cycles and what worked and what didn't.

Long story short…..had to change to the Maroubra clinic to get an appt with her next Friday. AND i live in Wollongong…so almost a 2 hour drive each way.

Wishnhope - thank you so much for your words. I wish i have the same luck…can I ask what happened in July for you?? I see in your signature it wasn't good….and Im so sorry. Don't answer if its too hard to talk about...
