    Default Natural fertility treatments

Just wondering if anyone has tried natural fertility treatment options such as naturopathy or acupuncture? Was it successful? We've been TTC for 11 months now and have had two miscarriages. The hospital and GP told us they won't look into why we're having the miscarriages until we've had three in a row so i'm interested looking at alternative treatments so hopefully we won't have to experience a third. Would love to hear everyone's thoughts/experiences.

I am now pregnant with the help of acupuncture.
I had secondary infertility and was told IVF was my only option, so I looked into more natural methods and fell pregnant my first round of acupuncture.

I'm TTC at the moment have PCOS and didn't ovulate... I did naturopath for 7 months with no success no period or any moment at all. I then moved onto acupuncture and have had a few cycles and have reduced my cycle from 200+ days to the last one was 45.
Hopefully I catch a egg soon!

No real advice for you on natural therapies but just wanted to say that if you are worried about the cause of miscarriages then you could go and see a fertility specialist. Mine looked into possible implantation problems straight after I had my first IVF and it didn't take. I've had a miscarriage and I know how heartbreaking they can be. I'd hate to see someone go through one when there are possibly steps you can take to avoid it. (not suggesting you'll need IVF at all...just that there are many causes for recurrent miscarriage that can be investigated and treated relatively easily)

    Good luck.

Thanks guys. I think I may even look at finding a new GP first, the one i have been seeing has offered no help and shows no compassion so I think he may be part of the problem.

Hi Yolandac31 I am in a similar situation to you. I have PCOS ovaries but not the syndrome and am at currently day 115 of my cycle. I have been doing accupuncture for 7 weeks but still have not ovulated. Were you given a herbal tea to drink too? I was but have now changed to herbal tablets because they are cheaper. How long into it did AF arrive?

I'd get a second opinion. I'd only been trying for 6 months and got a referral to a FS after 1 m/c. No one should have to go through the heart ache of 3 m/c before getting help. If you know something is wrong you shouldn't have to wait to get help or to see if something is wrong.

My FS said nothing obvious wrong so I moved to acupuncture. Got pregnant on 2nd cycle but sadly had a missed m/c at 12wks. Back to my acupuncturist for a new treatment. Also tried soy isoflaves this month and in 2ww

Stick in there you shouldn't be too far off I do acupuncture weekly and herbs in tea form twice daily. It took a couple of months to first work I also have these little tacks that stay in through the week to constantly stimulate my ovaries and also she uses moxi on me in treatment... Maybe ask your therapist about these techniques? It's also about diet too if you want to message me your mobile or email I can forward the one I was given it's an elimination diet that brings you to a state of normal before making reintroducing items I believe it helped also was from acupuncturist

Me & DH went to a fertility naturopath on the weekend so no idea if it will help but im hoping it will. Apparently they have great results.

I had a miscarriage in april so I know how u feel! I hate the doctors stats about having to have 3 to get any tests done.

I would go to a different gp if I were u and ask for some tests. I went to the dr witb a list of sooo many tests I wanted done. Luckily the dr did them for me even if he didnt think they were necessary. Let me know if u would like the list of tests I asked for. All mine came back ok which was a relief.

We have just found out my DH has low sperm morphology so im thinking maybe that contributed to the m/c.

Definately ask for tests or a fs referral! Even if just to reassure urself if all the tests r ok
