Default Boy/ girls names unique but not made up

    Hi
We are expecting number 3 (our first together) and are unsure of gender but cannot agree on names for short list.
We have a Hilary and a William.
I like old fashioned but not common. He likes traditional.
I like Ryker but can't seem to find anything else for a boy, apart from Ellis which is becoming common. And I love Sabrina but it is getting too common also.
He likes Edward but for me it is far to boring ( like William).
Any help or ideas would appreciated or point me in the direction of good books/ websites?TIA

Maybe start with the website with historically popular baby names and look for traditional names that haven't made a resurgence recently. For a girl I love the name Marcela, but unfortunately DP doesn't seem very excited about it. It certainly fits the "old fashioned but uncommon" criteria, and there should be lots of others too.

    Ryker is a great name.

Another place to look might be to go to the library and take out baby names books published 30 or more years ago. A friend loaned me a book published in 1983 and it actually has lots of great ideas in it.

I like Aurelia for a girl. For boys Parker. Both are a little different and not common, yet not made up or totally weird.

I liked Ryker for a boy but DP didnt.
We also settled on Franklin for a while which isnt common these days. We like older names (bubby ended up being named Elizabeth). Good luck!

Thanks for your replies. I've come up with Maverick and Mallory. My concern now is I have a Hilary is that too similar to Mallory?
