    I don't sugarcoat, I do try to stay mature and polite. I tend to walk away before it gets to name calling. Only because I find it juvenile and counter productive, I don't generally find it offensive.

    I will stand up for what I believe in, but I will leave a conversation if it becomes clear that other parties are not receptive to differing opinions or if it has become a mud slinging match. One recent thread comes to mind.

    I am too old to partake in childish high school insult slinging matches. So I choose not to!

    I value both honesty and diplomacy, and think it's almost always possible to combine the two. So that's the ideal I aim for.

    Being rude and excusing it as "honesty"? That's just lazy.

    Sugar coat? Maybe, sometimes.

    I guess it all come down to the topic, the poster, the mood of the poster and the tone of the thread.

    I've learnt a fairly valuable lesson over the last few days on here..... Stay the heck away from BH when you're going through stuff IRL!! It's not productive at all.
