JB- that scan pic is so amazing!! How many weeks are you now? Do you think you'll find out what you're having or keep it as a surprise?

Minib- has it all sunk in for you yet and any symptoms? How have you gone with picking your obs? I have a feeling that most are good anyway and you'd probably be happy with whoever you end up with. If you haven't decided, maybe call each one any find out prices, etc, that might help with your decision, also one of the obs I called wasn't taking bookings for end of June anyway as he was going on a holiday.

Riss- how you feeling? I hope the cramping stopped before Christmas!

Heartstringz- glad everything went well for your scan and to find out you are three days ahead, wow! Will they move your due date or keep it as is for now? My nt scan put me one day ahead but the obs said that it's still pretty much the same when it's only one day.

Nice to hear from you KLM! What's next for you?

    How are you going Chiefsgirl?

AFM: I have to start thinking about antenatal classes as apparently they book out fast and I want to do the weekend classes as they fit better around work! Might have to book next week before I forget!

Hi annerley, it hasn't really sunk in yet. To be honest, I'm still a bit worried as I haven't had any BT after the initial one. I'll have one when I'm back from holiday. I have no symptoms at all. No sure boobs. No morning sickness. I feel tired sometimes. Seems like I can sleep a lot. I hope everything is going well.

I have narrowed down to 2 obs. Will call them as soon as I get home. There's a huge price difference between the two. So I'm not quite sure who to choose in the end. Both are really good from what I heard. One is very relaxed. One is more thorough. The more thorough one is almost double the price lol. But this ob is on leave in July I think but back in August so she can deliver.

Minib- I can understand your worry, I've only started to feel less worried since the 12wk scan but only because I've had 4 scans all showing everything is ok and I still get occasional symptoms so that helps. There is about a six week gap between my last scan and my next one so there is a small worry that I'll go to that one and something might have gone wrong but I know now the chances of anything bad happening should be minimal.

Don't worry about your lack of symptoms, 5wks is still early, I only had tiredness and hunger for the first few weeks after getting my bfp and didn't get my first lot of nausea until about 8wks. I didn't really get sore boobs either just the very odd time and it was mainly in my nipples, actually they have been more sensitive since starting the second trimester than they ever were in the first trimester.
I know I went to my 8wk scan and was sure there would be no baby as I was convinced I hadn't had enough symptoms but all was fine. Good luck for your next BT, I'm sure your numbers will be really high by then

Thanks annerley. That makes me feel heaps better. I have no symptoms at all now. I even don't feel tired or hungry now. It's like my body is back to normal. I am now even worried that I jinx myself. Quite annoyed at myself for being like this

Ps my nipples hurt too sometimes.

Minib- believe me, you will have days and sometimes many in a row, where you feel back to normal. I have those now, where I feel like I'm just a fatter version of my normal self as my tummy is the only give away (and even some days, that seems to look smaller rather than bigger). I found I was at my most tired at 7wks and then I found out that apparently that's when the baby's brain grows, I also didn't get frequent urination to almost 9wks.
There are ladies in my due date thread who are over half way (as it's a April/may/June thread) who say they have had no symptoms at all, only their bumps!

My morning sickness kicked in about 4 days ago so that's a good reminder I'm pregnant. Morning sickness isn't fun as I'm sure you all know. I had a blood test about a week ago now during my holiday. HCG 7900 at 5w4d I think so must be all going well so far.

    How's everyone else going?

    Hi everyone!

Wow, so much exciting news on this thread. Happy new year indeed!

Sorry I've been AWOL, things were just really busy leading up to Christmas and then before I knew it, it was time to go back to work again.

I'm now 14 weeks and 1 day pregnant and loving every minute. Our NT scan went really well and it was so amazing to see bub so clearly. We definitely have a very active one on board! My placenta is sitting at the front so my tummy has popped out quite a bit. I can't stop looking at it. It just makes me smile so much! The morning sickness passed for me at 12 and a half weeks which was nice. I still can't believe how much I was throwing up ... It's great loving food again.

    How is everyone else going?

    Hi ladies,
Just checking in from my holidays, I've spent the last few days in Melbourne and Hobart and am currently crossing the Tasman Sea (thankfully no sea sickness), I will reach the South Island of NZ tomorrow morning.

Minib- whilst I'm sorry to hear MS has hit, it is definitely reassuring and your levels sound great! When is your first scan? I bet you're excited!

Sandra- great to hear from you and that you have been feeling so much better! It's such a relief when you know the NT scan has gone well! What's next for you? Are you finding out the gender?

AFM: I'm coming up to 17wks now and definitely have a bump but some days it's bigger than others, I'm waiting to feel the first kick. I also had my second ever pregnancy vomit the other night.I have my next obs appointment when I get back from holidays and hoping that I can find out the sex, otherwise I'll have to wait until the following week for my 20wk scan!I feel pretty organised with everything so far- our cot, change table and chest of drawers have arrived, just have to put it all together and set it up in the room, we also have a nappy bag and baby bath, and the pram and car seat are on order. I have a couple of smaller bits of pieces too but feel like I've got the big things out of the way! Anyone else bought anything?

Hi Annerley! I'm very happy to hear that you haven't been sick on your travels. I'm so jealous that you're going to the south island of NZ, it's one of my favourite places. So pretty!

Next for me will be finding out the gender. I have a scan today with my obstetrician but it's more of a check up. On the 12th of Feb I have another scan with the people that did my NT scan so hopefully they can tell me whether it's a boy or girl. I can't wait to find out! I hope you get to find out sooner rather than later.

How exciting that you're at 17 weeks! It feels like just yesterday you did your test and found out you were pregnant. Time really does go by quickly doesn't it! I just put the cot, change table, chest of drawers and bassinet on layby on the weekend. I had the best time shopping for it all. I'll look into the pram and car seat in a month or so and get them organised too. There's so much to get. Good on you for being so organised!
