I am seriously considering getting another one. Just gotta get my sister to take me to the pound as its the only place i would get one as i refuse to buy one from pet shop etc and would rather rescue one.

Since i have a girl, is another girl better or a boy?

It really depends on the individual cat. I had 2 girls for a long time. They took ages to actually 'like' each other but before that they happily lived in the same house, just stayed away from each other. We've only recently introduced Oreo the boy and I thought Matilda (the bossy girl) would have a problem with him but it's Gabriel who's come out of her shell and has scraps with him lol. If you look on Pet rescue there is heaps of cats that already live with families and other cats as fosters and this helps get them ready to be adopted. The foster owners know a lot more about the cats personalities

I need to visit the pound asap but i just dont know how my girl would go with another cat in the house.

Lol my oldest cat punky ( mummy) still isn't very keen on dini (Ginger boy) or Umi (baby cat) but she's tolerant of them now her kitten shadow adopted baby cat & mothers her though so I guess that helps. & mummy cat doesn't bash baby cat or dini anymore lol
Generally when u bring another cat in its best to introduce them in mutual territory like loungeroom etc.

Just thought I would share my gorgeous little Emmy. My husband got her for me today. I am in love. She is a rescue and she is the runt of the litter so she is tiny, but she is oh so affectionate and cute!

My two fur babies were fosters from the RSPCA - I couldn't let them go. Total indoor kitties, both DSH, will be 3 next year.

Love them to bits!! I can't remember what our lives were like before them😻😻

We just finished building our cat enclosure and the cats LOVE it.
We have 4 - one was the kitten of a stray someone I knew had been feeding, one was from the pound, one was part of an adoption program and one we found near the skip bins at the local shops. All are indoor and we're in the process of setting a bird aviary up as a cat enclosure to which they will have access from a cat door in our bathroom.

I'm going to go read the rest of this thread now..

These are my two crazy Devon Rex's.
They are 5 and 6 and only now just getting out of the kitten stage. It's been exhausting! They don't shed but they do leave a sort of 'fuzz' in summer. The boy on the left (Pablo) is a cuddly sook and the girl on the right (Dali) is a very independent 'only cuddle when you earn my cuddles' type of cat so we have the best of both worlds.
    Soooo cute! Love their faces
