Hi ladies!!! Sorry for my absence, I have missed so many babies!! Can't believe how quickly they have arrived

Chook! Congratulations on your baby boy! I hope you are recovering well and hopefully home by now

Pilbara a beautiful name for a beautiful boy i am sure! 3 hr labour - impressive! Hope you are recovering well

Twocam congratulations on the arrival of Leo! Sounds like you had a scary run there, hope you are ok

    Rachael, a beautiful baby girl!

Mel another gorgeous boy! Love his name and is he long indeed!!!!!

This is soooooo exciting! I am so happy for everyone!

AFM, we are home and settling in nicely. Hayden just sleeps and eats lol Can't really complain at the moment, but he is super cute! DS1 loves his little brother and is so attentive, just wants to kiss and cuddle him and be next to him, and he is bossing me around on what to do with him lol. I will have to try and figure out how upload a photo, they are all on my phone and not sure if I can figure it out hahahahaha!

    Ok ladies! Help!
my sis is throwing my baby shower next weekend and my ONLY job is to come up with the sandwich platter filings. So.... I'm the most boring person palette wise so all I can think of is ham, cheese and tomato! Does anyone have any suggestions (nothing too exotic) for filings?

Roast beef & chutney, baby spinach
    Turkey, cranberry, cheese, rocket
    Chicken, avocado, cheese, lettuce
I quite like roasted veg eg - pumpkin, capsicum, sweet potato as a vego option

    Just a few ideas...

mashed egg/lettuce is always good. any vegos? do plain salad. you could alternate the type of bread on each side, white on one wholemeal the other maybe. thin sliced roast beef, cheese and chutney can be popular

Hey hoots I had the same job at my baby shower. I made cucumber sandwiches, basically cream cheese and thinly sliced cucumber then cut into triangles spread the long edge with mayonnaise and dipped in chopped chives just to make it look fancy and I made a spread of roasted bell pepper (from a jar), fresh lemon juice and cream cheese in the food processor that was really nice. Another one I have done is cream cheese and watercress. Hope they help or were you looking for more hearty fillings opposed to tea sandwich fillings?

I just had my shower on Sunday. I did the sandwiches too-
    Chopped Chicken pesto and mayo
    Red salmon and spinach
    Curried egg and lettuce
    Ham cheese and tomato relish.
Cut the crusts off and cut into 3 fingers.

I also did an Ice Cream Bar! 4L of ice cream and then 9 choices of toppings, like flake, freckles, marshmallows, freddo frogs, mini oreos etc. Everyone made their own sundae. It was a hit! :-)

So news this end. ... my OB has booked me in for a Caesar! 27 Feb!!!!! 4 weeks time!!! Eeek!!! 2 wks prior to my due date. Not sure if I'm exactly thrilled with this idea, but OB says it's safest given my age and history. Ok then-I like that word safe :-) So here goes I guess! ! Better get organised.
