It was so painful and I have a pretty high pain threshold. I am 1cm dilated so thought he had to stretch my cervix to get in but maybe not. Maybe my OB got in there more, I stopped breathing it was so painful .

Fingers crossed you start to feel things progressing! ...and, I'd say, at least one difference between that and labour is that you can get up and move around, get into different positions and do things to help yourself... Oh, and you know that you are going to get a baby at the end! ...and you can ask for drugs

A lot of excitement happening around here.

Since starting maternity leave I have been seriously nesting. During the last few days have done a lot of odd jobs around the house, have gone through all the stuff we've been given, assembled furniture and washed and put away baby clothes.

Everything looking good this morning, I can feel movements and listened to the heartbeat with my doppler. Hopefully will be back with a positive announcement in a day or two.

Have just gone through my hospital bag again, now will rest ready for tonight.

Chook you're going into the hospital for what? C section, induction?

Wow so much happening over the last week congratulations gillie!!!

I am.on day 3 of maternity leave and in bed sick with a virus/head cold thing..not a happy camper. Had appt yesterday and was advised that contrary to what I have been told the entire pregnancy I will not be induced unless medically necessary. The ob feels the risks associated with induction are too high to do it just because I am IVF..I am not sure though as I just want petri out and safe. Anyhoo I am having a stretch and sweep next week which I am hoping gets the ball rolling. Oh i also found out i tested positive for GSB so looks like i will be on an IV every 6 hours for the entire labour..boo!

Pilbara I am so excited for you, I cannot believe how soon it will be until you meet your little one. Yay!

Going back to sleep now - determined to rid myself of this bug
