That's a nice way of looking at it Rachel.
It must be a big step and hard to let your guard down. I bet it means more than you think to your family and close friends too.. and they know how important and difficult your journey has been. Enjoy it hun.

Im not having one. My lifetime of friends are east and I have made a handful of good friends here, but its the present thing from them I'm uncomfortable with. Think it would be different if I could have family and lifetime friends .... if I did something with the girls here I'd rather just one last hands free relaxing morning tea.

Wait to see. She indicated if bp is still high and bub continues rapid growth could be at 37 weeks, which would be week before xmas.
I have seen her at each of my hospital appts but she's going on holidays for couple weeks and it will be someone elses call next appt ... so again wait and see.

Yeah I am getting over it. If my swelling continues I wont be walking soon. I cant be on my legs feet more than half hour if we go out they just throb and i can barely walk.

Shes been healthy bub all the way in weight, so at her current weight and the fact she had the lung steroids already, im happy for her to be here for xmas. I am getting over this and I can believe I'm admitting that.
Its been a long journey. I just want her out and in my arms.

I overheard a lady talking at the hospital yesterday. Everyone at kemh is high risk. She didn't want to follow the directions they were giving here and my eyes were rolling at the risk she was prepared to take. Some people who just fall pregnant easy really take it for granted.

Rachel I think that is a beautiful way of looking at it.

OMG sunshine that is less than 3 weeks ahhhhhh. I know u want her here but is it crazy that it is soooo close. I'm excited for u. If her weight is good & her lungs are nicely developed then if it's safe for both of you that's the best line of action.

Lol! Mine won't be getting a pressie, it just feels way to silly for practical me. But I have bought DH a mini calendar and written a message from "Squiggles" on the gift envelope it's in.

Hi Ladies, I popped in here awhile back and thought I'd drop in again to see how things are going. WOW! Anytime soon for some of you! I've been having several bouts of hyperemesis which have landed me in hospital for days at a time. My ob and all the midwives who have looked after me have all said they think I will come early, so might end up with a March or even Feb baby. A little TMI but had an moment last week, was severely constipated whilst in hospital, was given stuff to help me go, when I finally did the pain had me crying out with tears running down my face, I couldn't "sit" afterwards, I went again after more "help" and the same pain, at least I could then sit. I told my ob when he visited that if that was anything like natural childbirth there was no way in hell I was doing that!! He laughed. We are leaning to a C-section anyway, too many unknowns and complications with me. Wishing you all safe births and healthy babies

Hi Ladies....I've read back over all the posts and my goodness, what a crazy time we have collectively had! One common theme though is we are all equally excited/nervous to meet our little bundles. You are all in your own ways such strong women. It's really been wonderful to share your journeys.

On the subject of baby showers, I had a High Tea for 2 hours. Only a few very close friend were invited and the invite specifically said no gifts. But they all bought things because as one friend said "I'm just so excited for you and feel privileged to have known you on this journey". I thought that was beautiful.

In other news...I'm back in hospital, in isolation due to someone at work infecting me with a flu which has turned out to be pneumonia. But Benedict is perfect! She isn't moving much due to my fever but she kicks long and hard when I cough (every 5 seconds or so hehehe). As long as she is ok I don't care what I have to go through.

The illness has put my GD all over the place so I'm sticking to as bland a diet as possible. Not being able to leave the room isn't helping much either.

Sorry for the huge post! Hope you are all doing well!!!

No pressie for baby girl either, ...just a whole room full of goodies. I noticed when mum arrived back to our place they have pressie for her and one from my sisters kids too. ( nephews proud to tell me they each chose one for her! So cute.)

Cheekymumma sorry to hear you've been knocked for six with pneumonia. You are in the best place. Atleast while there you are not tempted to venture out of bed and completely rest giving your body time and best chance to recover. Pleased to her Benedict is resting and doing well. its late in the year for phnomea too isn't it. Take care.

Dr said as im far enough along now I can finally do what ive waited months for and get it a pool. (As you know I exercise privileges where taken away early excluding walking) It gets me walking without weight on my balloon knees and feet. Spent time in the walking lane at the leisure centre this morning. How crazy is the heavy feeling you get on exiting the pool!?
