Lol last time I tried to have a "day off" I was when I tried to go shopping solo.

My car broke down on the way and no one stopped to help me, the nearest stop for help was a big walk away.
Went to make a call and my phone was flat... Due to the kids playing games on it so I could get ready in peace that morning.
I walked the good distance to an emergency phone to find it damaged.

I sat on the side of the road until it started to go dark, eating kids Heinz crackers and drank water from dd's sippy cup that was still in my bag, all crusted food around the mouth piece for flavour.
Dh went for a drive looking for me when I didn't get home and it was getting late and found me asleep in the car lol.
I have to say, the peace, the sleep and even just being able to eat in peace was nice, even if it was just kids crackers

I do it all the time. But I'm divorced and my child goes to my ex every fortnight for several days. I miss him a lot, but I do enjoy a few days to just get things done/ go shopping etc. That part is awesome.

Oh yes. My 3yo DS just talks and talks and always wants my attention at the moment, plus I have a 3month old DS who is breastfed. I TOTALLY need a day off. I agree with Boobycino about time to shop for actual nice clothes, my wardrobe is atrocious at the moment

Yep. I could use a day back in my old pre-baby life (and body!)

Do we ever realise how good we have it at the time?!
