Stim cycles suck. I heard the rate of successful FETs is higher than that of fresh transfers. Hopefully you are indeed pregnant right now and you don't even have to think about stuff like this anymore.

Thanks for the support, I think I took it pretty well, I was relieved when our nurse said we can move straight into another cycle without waiting so we are on to FET # 2 straight away. In think we are going to push our clinic a bit harder this time to transfer 2 embys, they didn't want to deal with the risks of multiples but I feel that should be our decision to make, it's my body and our family that will have to deal with those risks.

Hi @TeeMM sorry to hear about your bfn. I understand what you mean about wanting to transfer two - we pushed our FS and he has now agreed - however we are still undecided as to if we are going to do it or not, as he made it very clear that transferring two does not double your chances. It does increase them a very small percentage so it goes from 35% with one to about 37-40% with two. He said really, it means we're losing out on another 30-35% since if we didn't use two we'd have an extra to transfer next time if you know what I mean? My cycle was a nasty one and transfer had to be cancelled due to hyper stimulation, and we only ended up with 3 in the freezer. Two day 3's and one day 6 blast. Transfer should be sometime late next week so we're still working out the best thing to do.

    Good luck to you xx

Good luck with your transfer! It's a tough decision to transfer 1 or 2 but I really believe that decision should rest with us, we are the ones who's lives it will effect if more than 1 implant. And whilst we are going to specialists for then medical knowledge and opinion, at the end of the day each one of them will have a slightly differing opinion..

I think they get in trouble for their 'multiple' birth rates. I'm not sure but out FS said that it affects their business poorly if they have too many multiple pregnancies because they're 'higher risk'.
