    Happy New Year!

The thread got a little quiet over Christmas, didn't it? DP and I went away with my family and stayed at a beautiful lodge. It was so incredible. My parents live 1000km's away so it was so good to see them for a few days. Mum also took DP and I to see The Hobbit 2. It was a really good movie but a little bit long.

I also graduated to the 3rd trimester this week! 27 weeks pregnant... Things are going so fast - we're starting to get nervous.

Hi everyone, happy new year to you all and I hope everyone had a good break. We had our first attempt just before Christmas, and got back from the UK yesterday. Still not sure of the result - got a BFN on Friday but partners AF only due today, so still a slim chance of a BFP. Not holding my breath, but at least the waiting is nearly over, it's been very difficult. Now to start preparing a Plan B! Hope others are having better luck.

Happy New Year everyone! We are back on the TTC journey for 2014. After two failed IUIs we have changed clinics and are starting IVF (hopefully) in February. The clinic change was to do with donors not doctors. We actually really loved our FS. The only real downside is that we have to go through the tedious appointments all over again...oh well, all worth it in the end I hope!
This new specialist says he has a fairly aggressive treatment plan when it comes to PCOS... He suggested I have a laparoscopy to rule out the development of endometriosis before I start on IVF. I was wondering whether anyone out there who has had the procedure could fill me in? I don't have a lot of symptoms and he has left it up to my DP and I to decide whether we have it done or start straight into a cycle. I'm a little unsure to be honest... Any thoughts??
in the meantime, positive thoughts for those TTC and for the expectant mummies, hope you're all feeling radient!!

I've had a laparoscopy. I have PCOS and they checked to see how it was and if endo was starting. Thankfully just PCOS. I also had my cervix shaved. I was having issues with irregular periods due to PCOS so they tried that and it helped.

Wasn't too painful afterwards, just felt like bad period cramping. Just a lot of bed rest etc afterwards and I was good. Obviously due to shaved cervix I had some bleeding etc (sorry tmi) but that was expected. Really it was like the length of a period. 4-6 days.

Looks like things are starting to pick up again in this thread after Christmas and New Years. Good luck to the ladies who are scheduling appointments and getting the ball rolling for TTC 2014. Hopefully everyone will get their take home BFP this year!

    Hi everyone!

I only just came across this thread. My partner and I are currently doing our second IVF cycle. My EPU is scheduled for next Tuesday and right now I am a bloated, follicle making mess. If any other ladies are from the Gold Coast I would love to get a message! It would be nice to have some support close to home.
