Yes DH is out buying my medication and rushing home he needs some spoiling himself as he was alone in emergency for several hours until my mother arrived and it was another half hour he said before they told him that I survived but was still critical for a few more hours,..he clearly was crying while we were waiting for ambulance and while in emergency...I
asked mum how he was when I was in recovery she just said he is so in love with me it was beautiful which mademe cry but I feel so terrible that he had to go through that. He did a wonderful job of keeping family and friends updated as well

I'm afraid I don't have good news either today - my CGH results came back, the only embie was abnormal on one chromosome, so if my FS agrees, then I am back stimming again

    Blah... too much bad news!

MrsMac so sorry to read what you're going through - jeeze you've had a crap run. I hope you heal quickly and can get some answers - sounds like there was absolutely no continuity of care for your pregnancy.

Springy sorry to hear there were issues with your embie - better to know now I guess though (if you have to look for a silver lining) ... still not much consolation though. It's always a kick in the guts when you realise you have to get back on the stimming bandwagon.

Kelly welcome to the thread - I wouldn't muck around with moving seriously I'd move to Nick or Lynn at Monash ASAP - I went through the mill with 2 other fertility specialists before moving to Lynn and I kick myself every day I didn't move straight to Lynn when I twigged the other two weren't really progressive enough for older patients.

Mamalinz so sorry to see you in here - I popped into the other thread a month or so ago to wish you well. Sorry to see that you're back here with us. But you will find everyone really supportive in here.

Not much to report from me - our donor is being tested today so fingers crossed there are no issues. Once her results are back we'll get our treatment plan, tentative dates are 22 March onwards, so not too far away - I'm already slightly excited
    Em x

Mrsmac that is absolutely unbelievable and unacceptable!! You had a scan and they shd have picked it up then! Besides didnt you have a scan where the dr had said that the sac was folding in on itself ? These things only happen through negligence. I remember when I had my bleeds at 5 weeks that was the first concern that came to the medical profs mind and they scanned to check. Your life was at stake here and someone needs to take accountability.

Your poor mum and DH. I hope you pull through soon. It makes me mad just reading the way someone missed something so critical. Take care.

Springy you are one strong woman ! Iam so sorry for your bad news. I hope you don't mind me asking and not meaning to be insensitive, have you given de any thought ? Although building your egg bank is a good idea while you still can.

Ann, yes I have thought about DE, and have been researching my options. The sticking point at the moment is finding a donor from our ethnicity (both DH and I are non-Caucasian). The options locally are very limited, and I don't have any female relatives or friends (all are 40+, or under 18) who could donate. At the moment we're looking overseas, so until we find a solution to that, we're stuck cycling with own eggs.

MrsMac - oh my gosh you've been through the wringer, you poor thing. I would definitely be investigating how to make a formal complaint about those who did not detect the ectopic earlier. If for no other reason than some medical staff clearly need better training to prevent this happening to anyone else. Huge hugs to you and DH, who is clearly a keeper.

Springy - rats sorry about the test results. Can we ask what ethnicity you & DH are? I know when we lived in Thailand & looked at DE there, there were a range of Asian donors from Chinese Thai through to 'regular' SE Asian Thais of all skin tones. I imagine in the other DE countries there would be a similar spread of choices.

Springrain - Sorry that your test result wasn't good. What a blow. Will you test again with the next cycle? Mamalinz - I will pm you with the info he gave me. I actually always cycled with Lynn. But in desperation I went to see him during my last stim cycle to get myself ready for what I thought would be another negative. I was preparing myself for the next step.

Thankyou everyone. Ann yes they toldme that sac folding in on itself and dont bother with blood tests and go home and wait for nature to take its course...and I also have a pic of the socalled sac at 4 + 6 from FS but there are many unanswered questions and at the moment im not sure if I want to pursue negligence angle or just write some letters and ask for an explanation. They had one job to do...I can understand a rupture with your first ectopic, even one if I was unaware I was pregnant but 3rd ectopic...and a bfp at 12dpo...

The clinic with the gps called to ask me to discuss my results? and why I did not show up for my followup tests and I said please inform them at the time of my missed appointment I was on the operating table fighting for my life after your 3 doctors missed my ectopic pregnancy please understand if I dont wish to discuss anything or set foot in that place right now.

From what I can gather I had been bleeding internally from that first night of "wind" pain and spotting. The pain was the sat night scan monday morning, no ectopic seen...no free fluid..I dont get it...still they should have been monitoring me. Based on their info ...I also had to endure 2 excruciating hours of pain in emergency before surgery where first of all some matron like woman looked at me like I was an hysterical halfwit saying...yeh you are having a MC at what 5 weeks not 5 months so just get over it...I said well im actually 7+3 but yes I would imagine a 5 week old sac...I feel what I feel lay off..I bet shes learnt a lesson.,,.then the emergency doc concluded cervical shock where my cervix was blocked with product and he had to just gouge it out with a speculum and fentinyl pain relief before they went uhh...theres nothing there.., now that was painful....he did apologise and say I can only go off what ive been told I said yeh....and unfortunately I told you what I had been told. ?..the whole thing stinks.., I told them im not grieving for the loss of my tube or baby its the pain and trauma of a damn rupture and having a blood transfusion and my poor dh not to mention he is having his first week off work in a year and now has to help his invalid wife get dressed ! They were treating me after like I was a poor childless woman, when I am angry at being ignored and nearly killed. I was already nearly over the MC just trying to move on.

Springrain im very sorry for your disappointing results its very hard to stay positive and such a long process Im sorry for some reason I was thinking you had a transfer but getting abit confused. I hope the next one goes much better.
