Mrs Mac, that is awful! You have been through such an awful time! Someone has missed something, I can't understand how that hapened. When you had your early scan, they check to make sure the sac is in the uterus and not ectopic, that's the main point of that scan. Seems very wrong. Hope you get some answers and recover quickly. Lots of hugs

Oh MrsMac, I'm so sorry to hear that and that you lost your other tube too. I hope they look into why no-one detected it was an ectopic. If they knew you'd had one before they should have been on high alert. Xx

MrsMac-how horrible for you. Sounds like you have had a very rough time. How was the ectopic not picked up? You and your husband have every right to be angry. With all the early tests we have these days something like that should have been picked up. I hope you make a formal complaint.

Mammalinz, I went to see a naturopath after doing a lot of research on good natural fertility specialists (I was nervous self medicating) and she has me on 300mg of q10 a day, I know some people take much higher doses but I'm happy on this amount. I had to wean onto it as I found it quite energizing. I still can't take it at night as it keeps me awake. I'm also on herbs, prenatal, fish oil.
DHEA I have read about but didn't like the sound of potential side effects.
Need to read up on melatonin - sounds like a lot of girls are on it here.

Mammalinz, I don't know about DHEA, but I took 4mg melatonin (you need a script for this), 600mg coq10, 1500mg fish oil, 1000iu vitamin D, daily.

Apart from the Melatonin, this all came in an 'egg quality pack' from Slades.

Hi I am home but a battered wreck...the surgeon wanted me to stay another day as my state of mind is not good but that hospital was adding to it. The only answer I can get is...it was early on and these things happen. Well I dont think I am going to settle for that as I am so tired of being pushed around in the medical system of being ignored and not given the time I deserve and am entitled to...not to mention care. I feel so let down. Every single person involved knew my history...at least 2 knew I had some pains.., I really just want someone to look, acknowledge and apologise, not the surgeon who saved my life either...so I am waiting to feel a bit better to figure out things.. It was not a stubbed toe ...I almost died on the operating table ...for anyone... being told "these things happen" does not ease the trauma.
