Hi everyone. I'm definitely out. Bloods tomorrow will show another BFN. AF arrived yesterday. Devastated. This is when going through this as a single person becomes very lonely. Best of luck to everyone. x

Nvb sorry to hear and I can only imagine how hard it must be doing this on your own as this journey over 40 is a really tough one due to lower chance of success and the risks involved. Unfortunately for us, I could only have done this in the last 3years as met my DH late in life.

Emski we are doing egg pick up tomorrow. FS wants to freeze the best blast and transfer the lesser embryos as he believes in better success with natural frozen transfer cycles so that's the plan. Hoping this is our last cycle and if it doesn't work for FET next year after Christmas and then will have to decide on donor eggs or sperm as we both have fertility issues...me age...DH sperm quality. I'm glad you have a pragmatic approach to all this. It's the only way to stay sane. Like you I'm blessed with a wonderful DH too so have only been able to go through 8 cycles of this because of him.

Firstly to Mrs Erin I'm so so happy for you. I hope this is a sticky one and that this is the beginning of the next phase in your journey. I was just looking at your signature, so in total you did 3 icsi, transferred fresh twice and froze 1?i hope that is it for you.
Nvb I'm sorry you got a negative this cycle. I hope you have supportive people around you. Remember we are here if you need comfort.
Emski been thinking of you this weekend. it will be interesting to see what Lynn recommends you do now. Anyway your in good hands with LB.
Luca how have you been feeling? Are you feeling positive about your bt?
Kenta good luck tomorrow. Hope to hear good news tomorrow.

Question: If you use pregnyl after egg pickup do you still use crinone? I have both and don't know what to do. Do you do one or the other? We are aiming for a day 5 transfer if all goes well so have been advised to use pregnyl day 3 and 6 and the crinone from the day after egg pick up but I have also read maybe I don't need the crinone if I'm doing pregnyl?

Nvb I am so sorry will you keep trying? I hope you are ok and at least have someone around you that you are able to talk to? We are all here for you as we have been there in one form or other

Em I am very sorry too but amazed on how well you are coping. As someone who has had an ectopic in each tube...and also being 41 in 3 weeks...I say get rid of the tubes if you can. When I went for first fs appt 6 yrs ago he did not even want to start until the remaining tube was removed as they also can turn into a hydrosalpynx which is blocked and can leak gunk that can be poisonous to embryos.

Congrats to you MrsErin I hope its nothing but good news

Micca I wanted to thankyou for posting the other day public to us re donor eggs. What you said was wonderful and put a whole new perspective on DE for me. I am very new at ivf and feeling panicked about time because I havnt felt that I would feel the same about a DE baby...anyway I am feeling excited now about myself being more receptive to the idea as I have done a bit more reading since then re epigenetics and also being the biological mother..one website put it so beautifully...the egg is the blueprint to your dreambaby (dreamhouse) you as biological mother supply everything else...all the building materials. The babys ear may look like the egg donors uncles but all the stuff to make that ear comes from your own self, your blood, proteins etc etc
